AKMU's songs are largely about their lyrics. I think that the almost random musical flow of this song comes from the fact that it is following the ideas that are in the lyrics. Of course that raises the question of how the song was written, and the only one who can answer that is Chanhyuk himself and I don't know if he has every really discussed it.

When AKMU won a talent contest, one of the conditions they had before signing, was the brother would be writing and producing all of their music. They were 17 and 13 at the time of the contest..
