What most of us do with those Busa fuel taps is cut a slot in them when we’re rebuilding them, then you can turn the tap off with a screwdriver. Also I would bet good money that the filter inside the fuel pump needs replacing and the screens on the injectors too. Common issues with the 1999 bikes.

Wait, so had the 20 year old OEM fuel line (that had not degraded yet) he couldn't get the spring back on, so replaces it with some made in the USA high quality fuel line, then without any significant use on the bike, it's that same high quality fuel line that suddenly has massive wear, on both lines at both ends? Is that what he claims "actually happened"?? If so, I'm even more confused, didn't he also say that the made in the USA high quality fuel hose is something he has used for a long time, because he knows from experience it's good and that's why he always has some lying around? Wasn't it also some leftover from the batch he had previously used and knew to be reliable? But even then he's not actually wondering why the same stuff he's always used, knows to be good, suddenly had a catastrophic breakdown at all 4 points of contact? If someone can confirm if I followed these chain of events correctly, let me know and I'll ask him on his video

I wouldn’t ever drain my oil longer than 10 minutes. I was at a auto shop where a guy left a truck drain for almost six hours, was a slow day. New oil and filter, started up and had no oil pressure. Even after idling for almost a minute. Had to over fill by like 5 quarts for the pump to finally prime. Drained excess oil off and was good to go. I didn’t think it was possible, but I witnessed it firsthand. People are so worried about getting it all out. If anything I like a little dirty oil left in, makes it easier to see the oil on the dipstick.
