Does anybody know even a single reason of why "adv" helmets need a peak? Does it block the sun? Seems too short.

They block out the sun and give protection from flying debris/branches.

@Championhelmets In theory, yes. But do they actually work? Most of the adv versions seem to short. The peak does not protrude more than the straight line eyes-helmet eyebrow opening.

@@constantinosschinas4503 the idea is that you can tilt your head down when sun is shining into your eyes, i have been there with sport helmet and full dark visor at the evening when the sun was going down, it was horrible i couldnt see more than 10 meters ahead of me if i had a peak i could have just tilt my head down and see clearly.

@cube1cze I know, but for that to work you should be able to clearly see the peak with your eyes. Do you?
