1:39 What a surprise! Why was this train modified, then retired anyways, Stanley?

The train reached its end-of-life long ago, it needs replacement

@@SFsRailDepot I mean, i know that its back was cut up and then transported away, and then behind the second doors the workers welded and installed something with a short end, like a gangway but with a red door(1 pair instead of 2 like on regular service doors). That one. So, why was it already modified(not the 1997 refurbishment) ready for other use, but then scrapped anyways?

They cut the train into several sections to transport the train out of there easier. The road there is too narrow for full-length train car.

@@SFsRailDepot I think you missed the point. (not rudely, no tension) I was talking about that train front part that had the cut part (361) covered with some sort of small mockup with an end, with there being a cartoonistic design of a red door, that train. The one in green. Still dont understand? Let me specify, it is that two doored per side MLR that was already cut, but had the cut part covered by the mockup part. So, while it is understandable they cut the trains, I don’t understand why they just modified the cut side with the blue(doesnt match with the iconic mlr blue) paint, and then took it to the scrapyard anyways. I’m sorry if i have to be so specific, but no tension please, take your time to respond to this. No need to respond in full detail why, just the reason it was taken to scrapyard anyways, when it had the opportunity to be preserved because of modification, either at a mall, a school, a museum, restaurant, library, etc
