HKS Cat Back Install On Josh's 350Z

Josh picked up an HKS Exhaust on Ebay a long time ago and is just now getting around to install it. He noticed that a section of it was damaged and thanks to HKS we were able to a new portion of the exhaust system to have a fully functioning one! This one of the best 350Z exhaust systems!

I have the same system on my 2007 G35. Did you have to get new gaskets from HKS or did your new section come with new gaskets?

So is this a Y pipe, or H pipe? I keep looking around and all of them say H pipe which is what I want but I don’t want to accidentally buy a y pipe

The y pipes usually connect like a Y the duall is more like H look how the letter is formed thats is what your getting for example the X PIPE LOOK LKE A X TO .

What long tube headers do you have and did you have clearance issues with them?

Sounds like a exhaust leak but idk sounds good but kinda sound like exhaust leak

Y does it sound like if there was a loosely can on high revs

I have the hks on my g37 and love it. I had the ark and that was just too loud.

I bought a ebay exhaust true dual rep but with rolled tips sounds good like the real HKS however passenger side hangers are way off and tips slightly off. I don't even use the far rear hanger on the passenger side cuz hanger doesn't even reach the mount but the side hanger mount is being used but rubber hanger had to be bolted on the other side of it's mount to even hang the passenger side exhaust. I have a very tight fit where the mid pipe is almost touching the rear diff making it very hard to even bolt up again passenger side. I have driving noises where it also hits the rear diff. < Exhaust wrap could fix this noise. I like the Ark Grip design cuz the pipes are away from the rear diff but I like the sound of the HKS cuz it's a different exhaust note that you just don't hear from other competitors. If I get the real HKS for my 350z I shouldn't have any fitment issues?

Its definitely louder but keeps a lot of the oem Howl. Really no rasp, and not obnoxiously loud.

Nathan Vonlanthen I would say deep. But loud. Not so sure. I run full motordyne on my VQ. And LOVELY!! But everyone has there own preferences.
