ARGO is the gas system. (Auto-Regulating Gas Operation). It was introduced in the Benelli M4 (M1014). No one calls it Benelli ARGO R1 and nothing to do with the stock, just "R1". The stock is Comfortech stock, also made by Benelli. The R1 is known to not be as accurate as other hunting rifles. Not being bolt action and the pencil barrel will get those groupings. Not sure why pricing is a surprise to people... It's Benelli and it's been like this for many years.

Thank for the information! I went to the range last weekend, it’s shoot 7/8 of an inch with Federal Gold Medal Match at a 100 yards, It’s shoot like a champ…..

As the reviewer mentions, in Europe the R1 is marketed as the ARGO; I believe that it includes iron sights, whereas they are seperately purchased with the R1.
@King420Chevy3 ай бұрын
@@johnrobinson3117 you will have to post a link. The model he is reviewing is R1. You can buy iron sights for it separately. Maybe you are speaking of the ARGO E rifle. 2 different models from Benelli.

Thanks for this video! I’m new to hunting and I just bought the Benelin R1 chambered in .308 I’m currently trying to get some practice at a gun range to familiarize myself with my rifle and scope. How would you suggest I proceed getting into the hunting community? I live in Boston, MA. I have never hunted before and this is my first rifle ever. I’m also thinking of buying the Browning BAR, but I don’t know if it makes sense buying many hunting rifles when I have never hunted or practiced on my Benelli R1 enough yet. Besides watching tons of hunting videos on KZbin, I have no idea how to actually get outdoors to start hunting. Are there hunting classes I can attend?
@hlam998Ай бұрын
@@francotheafrican7550 there is a hunting safety course you need to attend, and basic rifle training. Outdoor training there are many hunting groups in Facebook you can join, maybe even ask a friend to take you for the first time. But beside that, processing your game is very important, you wanted to follow your state laws of how to legally get your meat and carrying it out from the woods.

I have two 308. Rifles both 1/10 twist rate both guns hate 150 grain bullets but 165.gr and 175 grain bullets shoot under 1 inch groups at 100 yards.

Soft shooting 308, I have the M4, I like the technology and I’m not too worried about crazy accuracy…I found it for $1200 should I buy it ?????
@hlam9983 ай бұрын
Yes. Absolutely worth every penny, it’s crazy that the rifle only shoot sub moa group with match ammo, Federal Gold Medal Match 168grs shoot 1/2 inche group. Hornady American White tail shoot 1 3/8 inches, which acceptable for semiautomatic hunting rifle, but damn the recoil impose on the rifle is like 223… I as amazed

Any thoughts why the Benelli R1 has such a bad reputation for accuracy?
@hlam9986 ай бұрын
They’re 40 years behind the curve, the browning BAR is a great hunting rifle compared to the R1, Also, they’re great with match ammos! I’m talking sub-moa 3/8 of an inches on 168 grs Federal Gold Medal Match, but it’s shoot like crap with hunting ammos, I’m talking 4 inches here. So…. Would you like to paid $1600 hunting rifle that only shoot match ammos? Heck NO!

Is it stamped 7.62.? If it is it will have a lil more free bore than a 308. This is why it likes heavy bullets. The heavy bullets shorten the jump. Lighter bullets make the jump longer.
