I love it when they play the Col. Bogey march. It always symbolises British grit and determination for me, after seeing "Bridge On The River Kwai". The Brits can always show us how it's done, and this Yank appreciates the encouragement.

No one does pomp and ceremony quite like Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Mind you that's probably because we've had centuries of practice to get it right.

i would like to know the names of all the songs played. Anyone???
@mothmagic14 жыл бұрын
I can't remember the titles of all of them but you'll probably find the opener is On The Quarter Deck. Try looking up the music of Kenneth J Alford. He wrote most of these I think.

At 8:19 you hear the band major shout "The captain's general", so one would assume that is your tune!

The Captain General as announced by the Drum Major at 08:19
@louislungbubble7 жыл бұрын
its actually the trombonist who calls the next march for the drummers after the drum majors signal .
@supernutkin51223 жыл бұрын
@@louislungbubble Yes, correct ..... the next march is called out by one of trombone players (not the Drum Major) to let the drummers know what the next march will be played., and at 08:19 it is "The Captain General" march.
