This yoga tutorial is for beginners who would like to learn cat / cow stretch. This cat to cow warm up stretch and movement is often seen in yoga classes, but not always explained. I hope you find this beginners yoga tutorial on cat/cow stretch helpful… It’s a great way to warm up the spine to prepare for a longer or more dynamic practise, or a great stretch to do on it’s own at the end f the day to wind out tension through the spine.

Many thanks for uploading this video Helen! I hope you won't mind if I write a few lines here about my experiences with yoga, how the science allowed me to overcome the most difficult of circumstances and why I feel I am unable to practise yoga again now. I'm now 46 Helen, I began to contend with acute anxiety and depression at the age of 13 and it's fair to say that the conditions brought havoc to my life leaving me feeling lost, withdrawn and confused throughout my teenage years and into my twenties. I attended my first yoga class at the age of 23 but it wasn't untll I was 28 that change came and the practise of asanas allowed me to take control, overcome my conditions and develop deep, fulfilling spiritual relationships with others. I remain grateful for the 17 years of adventure I had with yoga, Helen. I learned so much about life, the Universe, myself and other people but my adventure came to an abrupt halt last October. Disaster struck and I lost someone who gave me an energy which allowed me to meditate deeply. I have struggled through these last 11 months as acute anxiety and depression have returned to haunt me. It is true that I faced such crisis during those 17 years and the Universe responded in due course, providing me with who and what I needed to resume that adventure but 11 months of sheer terror have now passed and I sometimes wonder if I will no longer be provided for, if the adventure has come to a halt and I must be reborn in order to continue with it. I experience suicide ideation at times along with more painful suicidal feelings. These thoughts and feelings are very painful and I do try and reach out to people who I feel may empathise with my situation in an attempt to respond to them and give me hope that, at some stage, the Universe will oblige and offer me with who and what I need to pick up the pieces and start to practise yoga again. I would be deeply touched if you would consider sparing me a thought as I try and deal with what has become a very difficult situation for me Helen and I send with this comment the best of my wishes for you with your adventure with yoga. Buddy nice explanations on the cat cow, cat camel whatever the name is . Like I always over do the lumber extension . Lengthening rather than deepening !! Make sense.

this is one exercise I don’t do enough and not enough with my clients. Now that I’ve seen someone make some solid sense out of it I’ll utilize more and now. I’ve tried now and it helps large thank you hun keep up the good vids:)

Hey D! 🎧 Headset I use: amzn.to/37U7e27 It's cheap and cheerful, but does the job! I have to admit I'm on my second one now as I do think they wear out..... Lasted around 2 years of heavy (almost daily use) before I needed to replace. Hope that helps! x

Hey Ashley, just go as far as feels good :) Over time you might find you have more range of motion, but the main 'goal' is to feel good x
