HMS Queen Elizabeth arrived in the Norwegian capital for a defence diplomacy visit as part of a short training deployment in the North Sea (21-24th November 2022).

I was at the fortress wall of Akershus (above the quayside) when she came into the inner basin of the fjord, she was an amazing sight indeed. It was worth the 700 mile round trip, as i have showed a keen interest in these carriers for over a decade.🇬🇧 Congratulations to the UK from Norway🇧🇻⚓

We’ll certainly be better than sailing on Nuclear power on the surface of the sea during warfare because not one with it has ever seen Naval warfare yet because they know it would be disastrous and that’s why they only use them for peacetime or chasing gunboats

Awesome ship, let down by the lack of jets. This girl should be rolling up to countries with a full deck of f35s. UK should have designed and built her own carrier jets. Updated version of the harrier

How could we have afforded that? We had to get the US's help to develop Harriet to it's full potential and we had plans for a supersonic harrier follow on which we decided we couldn't afford by being a teir one partner we have have played a blinder now we just need to make sure we buy enough of the superlative F35

The UK are currently in progress in producing 6th gen tempest multi purpose raf jets. As well as the challenger 3 main battle tank. The lack of moral towards our armed forces in this comment section is disappointing. And you lot claim to be British

The supersonic jet design was British invented by Hawker Siddeley but wasn’t backed by the Labour government as they wanted the Subsonic P.1127 engine but the P.1154 was stolen by Russia and that’s where the USA got it from… the USA only added modern Radar etc through the years as the Harrier was sold to them but always British engines on the them

You know nothing about how development works. The designs for this ship pre-date f35 by decades. It'll be upgraded to support f35s eventually. The Gerald R Ford class is in the exactly the same position with hornets

This a great ship,but she needs to be fully equipped with f35 , because she's looking thin on the ground with half a dozen on the ship,if you billed a big ship, you need to carry a big stick not a twig .

Its fighters provide protection at 300 miles. Then its Type 45 escorts, then its Type 23 escorts. If CIWS is in action, a lot of things have gone wrong.
