She must be heading out again soon otherwise her air wing would have flown off to their land bases before entering port. But then again, I forget these are F-35s, they don't have to fly back to their land bases just because the ship is in port. They can leave anytime they want, having a VTOL capability. A fine warship. What a pity our RAN has had to exist without a real carrier for all these decades since HMAS Melbourne. Multiple UK newspapers and news sites stated the QE return to Port was "unexpected" and weather "caused". And one of those sighted the source as the Royal Navy, later a statement went out that it was not caused by mechanical or personnel problems, and stated " to complete final preparation s" but failed to mention anything about the weather.

@Drew Peacock just one f35 is enough to ruin any foe's day. The UK already has 21

@Drew Peacock Listen to what the pilots who fly it got to say. The f35 is on a whole new level. There is nothing like it in the sky, it's exceeding all expectations and then some.

@Drew Peacock they are all deployable. If they weren't, then they wouldn't have been delivered. That's like saying Boeing deliver passenger jets, but you can only use half of them lol

@Drew Peacock What chinese or Russian carrier based aircraft can match the range and ordnance of the F35B launched from a carrier? Ah yes, none at all.

From🇦🇺and a pom she looks good. I do wonder if two of her class is sufficient. My dad served when here was a fleet of carriers andd they do tend to be the target to sink.

Looking at tracks of other ships at sea, in that area, even the French have a navy ship out, and numerous merchant ships.

What an incredible construction and piece of technology.

@SubtoPolecat324 I meant it's an incredible piece of technology in an absolute sense, not a relative sense; all modern aircraft carriers are impressive. Though I do think ours look particularly good with the twin islands.

@SubtoPolecat324 Lol, you're American then? No need to rub in the fact that you've taken our spot as most powerful navy in the world. It still rankles haha.

My guess is that the Queen Elizabeth is heading into port to restock before it goes around the world
