Your layout is amazing looks so life like. So is your videoing of the operations. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice " long pull" of all types of freight. Good in the yard maneuvers.

That poor local crew had to play the old waiting game just like the prototype local crews. Sixty years ago if I was told by the time you become a senior citizen locomotives would be realistic looking and would have sound I would have laugh and now I have two EMD switchers,two GP9s,a Alco S-4 and a RS-1 with DCC/ Sound. I love this hobby of ours.

Yes, "Lowcals" because they are the lowest priority :D I know what you mean, even 15 years ago, to think sound would be so important in the hobby today, was barely a thought. I do to.

Those beautiful, bright yellow Union Pacific SD40N's should not even be weathered IMHO. Saw them in the corner of my computer screen and they lured me right into this video. I was planning to look at an old Penn Central video.

This is a club layout, so a lot of guys had a part in doing this. So, your best bet might be to try and find a club in your area.

Yeah we run some good sized trains on this layout. My biggest train is a 110 car coal drag.

Interesting that among all the UP power in the shop area there is a pair of purple & silver ACL GP-7s! i
@RailfanJason7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's historic power. The shops were contracted out to rebuild and repaint them for a customer on the east coast for fan trips. :D

Thank you. Being a modeler of the Seaboard, Atlantic Coast line, Southern, and Florida East Coast railroads I enjoyed seeing those two units. I have watched several of your videos on the switching and they are very well done and quite entertaining. Being on a very impressive layout makes them that much better!

I live in Lincoln, Ne. and it's not uncommon to see Norfolk Southern diesels working with the BNSF and UP diesels here.

Nice layout. CSX and the UP do not come together in many places...
@kennethhickman81197 жыл бұрын
how can you hook up locomotives in the first 2 seconds of the video like they were, the bnsf going one way and the blue loco going the other way without blowing up their motors?
@RailfanJason7 жыл бұрын
Models are designed to be run in any direction and any configuration. These in particular all have computer chips (digital decoders) installed, so it's just a matter of calling the loco number up, telling it which direction to go, then consisting it with the lead locomotive. That way, all the trailing units are controlled by the leader.

That lineup of UP power at Enterprise is insane! How long have you guys had those?
@RailfanJason3 жыл бұрын
Its a collection that's just grown and changed over many years.
