Thank you for the pattern I bought from etsy and the video. I have found it helpful but the pattern doesnt write out the stitches you do at the beginning of the 2nd and 3rd round. is it Yarn over, single crochet chain 1? please can you write it out many thanks

To make the beginning of the round less noticeable I am doing sc, ch 1- you are right. If it's easier you can do as we used to do at the beginning - ch3. Sorry, sometimes I don't like the look of ch3 and I am trying to improve it.

It is actually a half double crochet because there are 3 loops on hook, because you do a yarn over before inserting your hook. You do not yarn over for single crochet!

It's DK, but worsted would be better. You can take a larger hook if it's too stiff for you.
