They look very good, they appear to work like the POSCA pens, it looks like we are going to have a lot of choice with several ranges coming to the market.

I hope so, it will be really good for the market and hopefully lead to their development and improvement as well.

Great video Stuart! The pens would be really useful if your hand isn't quite steady enough for /accuracy/ with a brush.

Thank you. Yes absolutely, and for certain jobs like the dots on those studs it certainly speeds it up a little as well.

Neat! I may pick up a set. Where I see myself using these a great deal is doing all the metal bits of 3D Printed terrain/buildings.

That’s a great idea for them!

As for switching between between pen and brush for hard to reach areas, you can depress the point and get extra paint from the pen on your palette, or pull the tip out and pour some paint out.

Great idea! I’d probably opt for option 1 or I’d end up breaking them I’m sure 😂

Interesting product and water based even, I only use metallic markers I bought in a book store to do some highlights here and there, slowly switching to non metallic techniques. The new AK markers is another story, perfect for my 28mm naps, the shoulder belts look so good and smooth after one pass with the markers.

I really need to grab some of those to try.

@@MiniatureRealms Edge highlights, specially the GW standard is so quick and easy with them.

Looks pretty cool. It can be quite painful doing studs on leather armour and also some other metal details that these pens could alleviate. Decent range of metals with 10 in the kit

I’ve been very impressed with them, hope they add to the range.

Looks great … A bloody red would be good for runes and chaos flag designs … and maybe white / yellow and black for eyes unless too thick
@MiniatureRealms22 күн бұрын
A red would be excellent! These ones are too thick for eyes, but the colours would still be useful.

Use Sakura Pigma Micron pens for stuff like eyes.

Nice review. Saw this on their site was curious about them, wonder how they do compare to the AK markers? Are they acrylic paint ? Nice touch with the smileys lol
@MiniatureRealms22 күн бұрын
They’re labelled as ‘Acrylic Ink’, I’ve not tried any other brands as yet.

They look superb. Wish someone would make a decent red or some different tones and some decent blues but not metallic. Have tried most of the paint pen sets and nothing really covers a good set of reds and blues. A WW2 military colour tone set would be good too
@MiniatureRealms22 күн бұрын
I wonder if it’s just because metallic paints work better with these things, I’m sure someone will nail it for more colours in the future though.

@@MiniatureRealms The AK ones are not bad but so far a fairly limited selection but they cover nice and dont bleed unlike some other makes I have tried. Anything that helps to speed up painting units and looks good and holds fast is always a bonus
