Amazed at how you turned an ok kit into a museum quality product based on whats been accomplished so far . The hallmark of a top modeler is not really how well they can build a kit but how well they can problem solve , and there is alot to solve it appears and you are a champ and a damn good modeler to achieve that ..

Now I’m regretting not moving the cockpit back. Your detail work is fantastic. I have mine hanging in my living room from the ceiling.

That kit really is a monster. It’s a shame it’s poorly designed & detailed. I could of been a really great kit. Cockpit is looking good especially from what you have to work with. Enjoy your holiday. Stay safe stay well.

Good on you Owen! I am 69 and about to tackle a 350th Bismarck - I don't mind saying, with some trepidation. It has been a retirement project for long enough, so here goes!

Am I the only one who kept thinking you were gonna jack up the beautiful work you did on the ejection seat throughout the video? :-) You make the difficult seem easy my friend. I watched this while looking at the 2 Merritt fully assembled 1/18 Harriers in front of me and all of a sudden they look like crap. I wish I had a fully tricked out one like you're building to replace one of my Merritt Harriers with! It sounds like the guy you are building this for is gonna leave it with the gear down in his office on a flat surface, so the scrunched gear-up issue will be a non-issue with him. It is good to show the rest of us how you can solve the issues of retracting the gear while still moving the cockpit aft. Your work on the cockpit sidewalls looks great, as does the instrument panel. Thanks for going over it all in detail. Where did you get the case of drill bits? Thats a great idea to use them for pins. Thanks for posting a video before your vacation, you've earned it! Have a great time, hopefully you will have some time to yourself to relax...

Just as soon as you said "I'm not moving the pit" I thought sure, like I'm never gonna stop at the donut counter again! Looks good, turned out to be not so hard, as long as the rest falls into place your in. Was that your wife cheering when you said you're gonna cut your rod off? HEY! Enjoy the vacay! I'm just glad you didn't play the "Go Go's" on fade out

When you had the cockpit tub in it's original position - it was more a Harrier I cockpit in dimensions. Worth noting too that each Harrier was hand-built and would vary in shape, so the under-carriage doors and air-brake some-times needed a lot of adjustment with a big hammer ;)

Regarding the side panels and breaker/switch banks: Something I have wanted to try is take a photo of the panel, scan it and print it as a decal. Probably would not have sufficient resolution in 1/72 scale, but for 1/18? Maybe...

Instead of cutting up drill bits they make piano wire you can buy at hobby shops. K&S Metals make various diameters of wire :) You may have to buy a 36 inch length of larger diameter wire tho. Thx

You’d think with making that kit so big that it wouldn’t be as difficult as other smaller kits, to try and not make it a TOTAL FUCKIN PIECE IF SHIT lol. Good on ya for doing all this extra work to produce something you surely will be proud of. Have fun bro
