The Bell 222, what they adapted, for the Airwolf model, + RC's for the show, were originally, black & white, but due to the shine/ glare when trying to film them, the green/grey colour had to be used, to mitigate this effect...

Nkce job man i got this exact kit in my stash along with some aftermarket decals that are better quality then the kit decals sharper criper printing on them and supposed to be easier to apply the guy thet makes them and sells aftermarket model kit decals on fb. They have weathwring and all pronted onto the decals and it covers the whole orbitor no painting required at all with the decals he makes. I did the orbitor this afternoon and his daclas was amazing its a perfect looking model and looks like paint cause i clear coted with a satin finish clear coat like he said to do to keep them from yellowing over time and coming back off over time and you can do more weathering if tou want if you clear coat them but im not. Amazing job man its not easy doig that big of decals but its not to bad with the decal fluids

The cup of coffee thing on KZbin is out of control and quite insane....is it a kinky fetish for people to do it?? Must be. Your videos are cool, but the cup of coffee slurping thing is COMPLETELY UNNECCESSARY. Some laugh at the slurping, but I am sure nobody has the stones or wants to come clean about it being foolish....but I did.

Very nice build. I'm considering buying this kit, and your video has been very informative. I even learned a couple of tricks from your 2-part series! One point of education: On a helicopter, they're called rotors, not propellers. :)

In relation to these specific Tomcats, I wonder about the walkways. I had never noticed the walkways being that colour, which makes me wonder if the started off like that (though I don't think so), or became weathered, or if there was just a batch of F-14s with that colour walkways. Interesting.

I can’t begin to explain the great techniques you have demonstrated for all types of builds, especially this one. This is my go to for tutorials and used your technique on my walkways on all my models now. This set of Fightertown Decals are so hard to come by and I’ve even emailed Brian Pleschia at Fightertown with no reply to get this set somehow. So, I’m gonna ask you. Would you please be able to spare the decals for TOPGUN Tomcat 30?? I grew up with (then) LCDR Beaman’s kids and his wife was my high school vice principal and want to build his jet. I can pay you for them or if this is not what you want to do, would you be able to point in me the direction as to how I can obtain these decals? Once again, thank you for posting your techniques and have you ever considered being a contributor to Fine Scale Modeler to get your techniques out to a broader audience? Thanks again for your time and please keep the videos coming.

FYI, 5 years too late, the mirrors on the engine nacelles are for checking to see that the landing gear had lowered before the final approach to the runway. Really liked how well the kit turned out. Everyone who has built tells me that it is a tough build. 👍💯

Yeah I hear ya. I don’t really want to build another cause it was so labor intensive and time consuming. It’d take me between 200-300 hrs to build. I actually did this one for a friend of mine for free but he ended up giving me $500 because he felt bad it took me so long.
@warhorse6442 ай бұрын
@@seanerk5kt9 I really hope your friend took care of you later on. This build is absolutely amazing and by far one of the best AV-8B examples I’ve seen in any scale. The $10,000 price tag is a bit steeper than I was hoping to pay, but if you ever feel the desire to build another please let me know. I’m looking to commission a 1/18 AV-8B build to centerpiece a room. Or if you have a recommendation that builds to the quality in this video, I’m all ears. Bravo again for this build, love it!
