Got my first Fusion Pro today and installed into my Ascent and OMG! I get all the hype, ive never been able to crawl at such a controlled and slow speed. You can almost count the spur teeth as they go by its so slow.

Such a great video! Loved all the editing....Very well done....And for me, I just got this 2300kv motor for my TRX-4.....So I can't wait to install it. I also got a 13 tooth pinion (11 stock) With crawling this slow I can afford to give up some low range from the gearing....Now I can have both speed and crawl. Hopefully! Shooting for 20mph in 2nd, and snails pace in low range!
@KobtsevRC Жыл бұрын
13 teeth is a good idea, I think you can afford it. Thanks for the support, glad you liked it!

Awesome. Being not too experienced in the RC world so far I was happy to learn, that one can keep using the stock radio (and thus I suppose the receiver). Helps to keep the invest down a bit.
@KobtsevRC Жыл бұрын
Glad to help! Yes, you can use an old radio, but it's a very poor quality radio. The smoothness of the trigger is very low.
@matusknives Жыл бұрын
@@KobtsevRC thank you. I understand that getting a better radio is definitely going to improve the overall experience, but it is nice to know that one can upgrade these two components separately.

Sure its really cool.

@@KobtsevRC It does creak & feels like the throttle is turning on bushings (not bearings), and the steering spring response* is a bit stiff for crawling, BUT the bluetooth module, paired with a smartphone, provides configuration info & adjustability, and even run-time telemetry, that is best in class and just the ticket for ‘daily driver’ bashing & racing. * I run a DX4C Tx on my SCX10 that has had the steering spring removed and it is great for finesse when crawling and PERFECT FOR CONTINUITY WHEN FILMING of the steering angle from clip to clip.
@JoeOvercoat Жыл бұрын
@@matusknives I suggest that you consider the FlySky GT3C. 👍 Can be paired with a FlySky Rx with stability control, even. The Spectrum DX5C is another worthy contender, but be advised its grip is larger, for better or worse (if you have short fingers, it’s not for you).

Wow, neat video that really shows the improvement that motor makes to the slow speed operation! 👍 I'll be interested to see some crawling footage with the "cruise" on - makes for easier filming while driving! 😄

@JoeOvercoat Жыл бұрын
@@KobtsevRC You can set the multifunction knob on your TQI transmitter to act as a throttle trim, where some people use this as a cruise with great success. P.S. You do not need the Bluetooth module to access any of the controls’ adjustments on your TQi transmitter…but it’s handy, especially when one forgets what the settings are for a given model in its multi-model tree. For example, whether the multi-function knob is controlling punch or degree of stabilization.

Since the traxxas trx 4 uses a few smaller servos would it be possible to set the bec on the fusion pro to 7.4 volts and use an after market steering servo capable of that power without frying the smaller shifting and diff lock sevos.

I have a fusion pro in a axial 2.0. it has so much torque it will snap metal axles if you bind them up and it does it like they were made of wood.
