WOW what thorough review. I went on their website and price is really good for this product. I do a lot of online work probably more than I should when I boondock however when you live full time nomad life you need to figure things out especially when you use a lot of power. I have a 305w Solar setup in my 7x14 cargo trailer camper conversion and it works great but when you have cloudy days you defiantly need a back up. Thank you for the review which it helps me on what to purchase.

I was waiting for Pecron to bring this S1500 back onto the market for purchase again, after it made it's debut in 2o21.04. It was unavailable for a couple of months afterwards. I ordered mine at the Pre-Order price of $1099 on 2o21.08.05 and it arrived on 2o21.08.20. Yep the outlets are turned right side up now and it also comes with the MC4 connector cable and it comes with the battery clamp cables. It's the best power station available for the co$t. I'm EXTREMELY happy with the purchase.

Hi Professor and all, Just received an email back from Pecron with the PV data on the S1500, hope this info helps with any third party solar panel needs...."PV input is 29.4-40V, 15A, max Voc 45V, max wattage = max Volts x Max Current= 40V*15A=600W, doesn't matter if its paralleled or series/daisy chain as along as we don't exceed the max limits"

I also feel that going with a more established company like Jackery, you'll be more likely to find replacement parts 5-10 years from now from the company or third parties than a lesser known company which has a lower chance of still being around. That does mean we pay more but I went to Costco and they had a nice deal on the Jackery 880 and included the solar panels.

HOBOTECH ROCKS! Purchased the PECRON S1500 which works better than expected. Keeps my new Energy Star refrigerator working from 8pm to 8am. Just purchased HOBOTECH recommended BOUGRV 180 W 5BB solar panels which are charging up my PECRON as I am writing. Panels are just out of the box, laying against a wall at the wrong angle in mid-afternoon and getting 220 W!

Interesting seeing the ground cable option to connect to a real earth ground. Portable solar power generators have been getting so big and powerful in the recent years that someone finally considered it. I wonder if anyone has been electrocuted using power tools or other metal devices that have become defective and shorted making the person in the path of the electricity.

It all is a bargain until you need support. I learned this the hard way. US based support is key so there won't be a 2-4 week downtown talking to support via email with someone in Asia who responds between 12am-4am in the morning.... When these products start having legit US support then it makes more sense. I've live through it and it ain't fun dropping $$$. When they work well, they work great! When they break, yeah not so great and a pain. Great review as always HOBOTECH!

I never used it for camping out because summer was over in the NYC area, the panels came in first (after 10 weeks) I never got the 1500F , but just the 1500,So I got beat there. I used the charger from my car and it took 6 hours to charge 100%, I plugged it into a COSTWAY Car Refrigerator, 55-Quart Portable Compressor Freezer directly and it stayed running 7 days (to my surprise) But I still haven't really put this thing into REAL practical use. .

FYI, Update 8-20-2012...Pecron sent and e-m Update that they finally will be delivering after their products were held up in port. For the delay they are including an extension of warranty...I believe the total warranty to now be up to 3 years. It feels like if you get one, just a few months later there will be something new and competitive you will want instead. I found the solar part somewhat confusing, maybe because they didn’t give you the cable! I wonder if you could just hook up a single jackery 100w panel with mc4 adapter. Would the voltage be too low?

I was getting excited about this Pecron until I realized that my PAXCESS 120 will NOT charge this because it's medusa has a TWO PRONG Aviation, NOT the FOUR PRONG that Pecron has on it's charge port. Looks like you would need another adapter for the Paxcess to make it fit...don't know if one is available? That's a pity too because The Paxcess 120 can be had at times for about 150.00 on Amazon thru a flash deal, which is how I scored it at that price. Hope this helps.

Would have been nice to be able to use it as an option if needed...just wish there were more universality w/these on manufacturing but, not a deal breaker for me. I use the Paxcess for another smaller SoGen that I have and it works great for that...it'll have to be an exclusive for it or until I find an adapter. I plan to use Two 100W smaller sized glass panels w/MC4 & connect them to the Pecron adapter that they now plan on shipping to go with. Hello! I just purchased the Pecron S1500F and I really like the unit. Fast charging, holds a charge well, ease of use etc. I also bought their 200watt 36v solar panel, but have not been as impressed with that. Under near ideal conditions (top floor of an empty parking garage, no obstructions, Southern California sun not a cloud in the sky at 1:30 in the afternoon, sun pretty much at its peak, tested on two separate units, the panel only output 120 watts. Is it common to be 80 watts off? I figured it wouldn’t be exactly 200 watts, but that much of a difference under near perfect conditions is troubling. I’m currently trying to get ahold of them for a replacement. Maybe my panel is a dud.

I was all set to buy the Jackery 1500 after watching your last video. I have a gas powered generator but don't want to run it at night. That's where the power bank comes in. I need back up power during the night for approx 6-8 hours. I also want some back up if my gas generator stops working which is where the power bank comes in. Would, in your opinion, will I be better off with the Jackery or the Bluetti?

Just for information, Jackery does charge tax. I went to purchase a 2000 watt solar generator and they were charging me Va. tax which made it a deal breaker for me. But I am buying the Pecron S1500 F

Jackery charges tax in CA. However, I think a law changed recently where nearly all Shopify stores charge tax in many states outside CA. Unfortunately, we can't control the government.

Noise is not a concern when it comes to the solar generator because the alternative is louder. Also, what is the best, most quiet 2000 watt gas inverter generator under $500?

I checked the manual of s1500f and the cell used is eve brand 18650 2900 mah.the cycle life is only 1000 cycles to 80% capacity after that until 70% capacity the cycle life is very less as compared to until 80% capacity.so all in all Pecron s1500f gives about 1200 to 1300 cycles to 70% capacity.not 2000cycles

Gotta wonder with that "efficiency" if they're not derating the battery as much (for lifetime extension). If it's cycling 90%+ of the capacity, that 2000 charge cycle rating won't hold up.
