I'm biased, there is only 1 super trainer in my book...the Tempo Next%. 1st pair are at 623km, 2nd pair are at 50km. And I struggle to tell them apart. Most of my shoes get retired around 500km. I wouldn't be surprised if my first pair gets to 900km with the only risk being the air pods, but the rubber under the pods are still at easily 75%. My AlphaFly V1 are now retired for the marathon, but will still get used for the odd 5/10/half race. About to order the AlphaFly V2 which I think will pair even better with the Tempo Next% due to the closer drop. Given my love of the Takumi Sen8, I'd love to try the Boston 12...but holding out to see if the Adios Pro 4 corrects some of the problems many people have with the upper. Keep up these comparisons, they provide alot of value to people who can't/won't buy hordes of shoes.

I was thinking about the NB when I saw that they fixed the weight and the upper. The durability makes it a no-go. Thanks for the valuable information.

Good comparison review, very helpful for a shoe decision. Typically use Shoe Goo to patch high wear areas on the outsole. Also have used hot melt glue on the outsole (prefer Shoe Goo).

On the one side it's the adidas logo and on the other side it is the Boston Marathon logo. I picked up a bunch of gear there.... probably spent way more than I should have.... lol. Have a great day.

The durability issue with the NB SC 2 could be from the gravel and dirt terrain, loose rocks would easily chew that softer midsole. I haven’t had issues with the shoe but I only run on the road and paths

I tried Mach X (demo shoes on a HOKA sponsored group running event). They don't have the energy return of my Endorphin Speed 2 or even 3 which is more mellow. At 42mm stack heigh (men, women's lower) I expected better. Still, they are the best training shoe HOKA offers at the moment.

How many videos do I need to watch to find out what your foot *shape* is so I can know if it actually means anything when you say they are true to size. What does your foot actually measure with a tape measure? Does your shoesize match your foot length? I have never found any show that was true to size that was not a cowboy boot and very few of those.

Hey great question. So when I say "true to size." I mean that I ordered the size I would normally order when buying a running shoe. I did not have to size up or down at all. When sizing a running shoe you should have about the width of your thumb from the end of your longest toe to the end of the shoe. I hope this helps. Have a great weekend.
