My understanding was Paul's character Brian was originally intended to be the central character of this movie. He was kinda sidelined in F6, so F7 was supposed to be his movie. Those plans had to be jettisoned when he died, so production had to be suspended indefinitely while they rewrote the movie. Incidentally, Tyrese Gibson took Paul's death incredibly hard. I think they had built a particularly strong friendship in real life dating back to 2F2F.

That Theory is thrown out the window as they had already shot 75/85% of the film before that fateful day in November. They delayed the restart to come up with an ending that would honour Paul and move the franchise forward.

@@MikeWilsonBarrett IMDB said Walker had filmed roughly half of his scenes at the time of his death. The movie was originally planned for a July 2014 release, but that got bumped to April 2015 to allow enough time for everyone to grieve and move forward with rewriting the script.
@MikeWilsonBarrett

@@lightsabermetrics It was only the final scenes they didn't shoot. Paul's final scene was when rescuing Dom from the car after the parking level crash. Everything after that was filmed with Cody and body doubles.

@@MikeWilsonBarrettNot true. Movies are not shot continuously. Scenes in the very beginning of the filmed could be shot at the end of filming, there’s no linear timetable for what scenes are shot. There are obvious scenes in the film that don’t include Paul as Brian (even before that end scene), such as the house explosion scene, 80% of all Abu Dhabi scenes, the Tony Jaa rematch, etc. Paul was replaced in a LOT of the scenes shot in this film, not just the final scene.
@jkingvevo2472
@jkingvevo2472 9 ай бұрын
@@MikeWilsonBarrett Paul’s final scene he ever filmed is unknown. But like you said the rescuing Dom scene and Letty’s memory comin’ back was the final scene featuring Paul based on how the film was put together. But there was more scenes filmed with Cody, Caleb, and Paul’s doubles than you think 🤷🏾‍♂️ and then the scenes featuring Paul’s face reused from old “Furious” films was his doubles I think 🤔 I could be wrong on that part tho but I do know Paul wasn’t physically in those scenes either 🤷🏾‍♂️

The Corona shots in this franchise aren’t sponsored. After becoming synonymous with Corona, the studio attempted to get a sponsorship deal, but it never happened. Rather than never use it again, filmmakers decided it’d be funny if they made it look more and more like product placement since audiences were already convinced it was.

The scene in Fast 1 where Toretto describes the death of his dad is pretty much word for word what happened to Paul and his Friend . The saddest part of this movie is at 26:15 in the video. That phone call conversation between the two of them. Paul recorded his part before he passed away. Jordana had to record her part after he passed. So hearing the things he was saying to her even tho it was character to character the fact that he didn’t come home or didn’t make it must’ve been so hard for her to do that scene. I also found out that Jordana and Paul they liked each other and that came to light a lot more when filming 7 and that she was going to tell him because she knew he felt the same way but he died before she could.

I agree, I was reluctant about Fast 8 when it came out thinking they could have just ended it here. But I feel like 8 turned out WAY better than people give it credit for, it was a fun storyline trying to figure out why Dom was...doing what he was doing (don't want to spoil it) and Charlize Theron ended up being a fantastic villain. Fast 9 is the first one that felt off to me (haven't seen 10 yet).

After the opening weekend of Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7 was announced for release in summer 2014. I was excited about James Wan as director, plot details, adding cast members and then some. Paul Walker had made 5 films at this point with 4 coming out in 2013. Walker turned 40, later that summer. On Thanksgiving weekend, the cast & crew were taking holiday break from filming F7. Hearing about his passing was as shocking as anyone could imagine. We were all mourning for Pablo like he really was family. As fans, the love was stronger than ever and beyond just character. Saw it opening day in IMAX and it was the largest worldwide rollout of the format itself among many other records broken. Everything at all levels and as much as expected. Reconnecting with the 3rd film while moving forward was a job well done. It's cultural impact was even more unstoppable and the naysayers were hardly heard. The soundtrack was fire and of course, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth became one of the biggest records of the year. Until the release for Avengers:Age of Ultron, F7 was the No.1 movie in the world. Grossing over $1 billion worldwide and making The Fast Saga, Universal Pictures' biggest franchise ever.

This movie has probably some of the best CG digital faces and face replacement tech in the industry. There's shots that are a CG replacement you would never realize were CG until a breakdown (there's also scenes that are CG that are clear, but it's still very good). It also helps his two brothers look so close to Paul. RIP Paul, what an unfortunate tragedy, especially when he was at charity function and wasn't driving.

For the time of filming, I thought they did a really good job with Oliver Reed in Gladiator. It's clear given more time, that it would have been impossible to tell, but it was early 2000s, and it still is quite good. Here like you said, I think it really helps that it's a relative with some facial resemblance and what not. Cool they were able to get it done and make it look believable in most every scene.

The beef between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson actually began during the 8th film The reason why Hobbs was sidelined for most of the film was because, during the initial filming production, Dwayne Johnson was busy filming the Hercules movie. As a result, he wasn’t fully available to be part of this movie. However, as we all know, production ended up getting shut down for several months after Paul Walker died. This allowed Johnson to finish his work on Hercules and become available again when they resumed filming. This led to them rewriting the 3rd act to have Hobbs show up and be more involved in the action

I do love the old ones the most as a car guy but this is what it naturally evolved in to, from the first movie to the last one Paul was in you could see genuine happiness on his face cos he loved making them and before he died him and vin talked about and agreed on making ten, Vin is just staying true to that, which is why, even though the movies got worse over time, I'm glad it was honoured with him trying his best. A great tribute to a great man He ran a charity for natural disasters and he would go there personally to help out all around the world, the passion he had for it is incredible, tremendous marvellous man felt like everyone in the world was listening to see you again, as it stands today it had 6 BILLION views on KZbin ALONE, not to mention radio, spotify and other streaming services, to put that in perspective the worlds population is 8 Billion people almost the whole world has listened and most playing it for Paul and its well deserved if you ask me. "This guy reminded me of the OngBak Warrior". The fact is he is actually the actor that play the main character in Ong-Bak. His name is Tony Jaa, a very famous martial artist/Muay Thai actor.

Nothing will ever top being in the theater watching an absurd action film that literally had a man's life saved by memories to turn around and see everyone in the theater crying at the Paul Walker tribute. Very well done

This was a amazing movie in general and also a emotional one being the last film in the franchise to feature Paul Walker after his passing in 2013. R.I.P. Paul Walker/See You Again…

PLEASE WATCH HOBBS & SHAW! If you’re going to do the whole franchise, it only makes sense to watch every film! You absolutely cannot skip a film, even how ridiculous it could be, if you’re doing a whole franchise. *ALSO* Hobbs and Shaw can be viewed as a good movie IF you kinda don’t consider it a F&F film lol. It definitely doesn’t feel like one, but you should still check it out as it is apart of the F&F franchise.

I grew up watching Paul and also got to meet him here, he said he was filming an ad or something in 2013. Great guy and Jesus was he good looking. It hit hard when he died for me because he died on the way to a charity event for the Philippines after a devastating typhoon ravaged the country. Even on the day he died, he was trying to help others. The franchise was never the same after he died. Now it's purely a popcorn franchise.

I'll never forget seeing this opening night in the theatre. It felt like EVERYONE was crying. As for the movie itself i think it suffered a lot because of both the passing of Paul and the issues between vin & dwayne. I'm sure the story was meant to go in a bit of a different direction but they had to rewrite cos of said issues.

I think this was the only Fast and the Furious movie I saw in the cinema because of the Paul Walker thing, and i honestly feel its one of the best Fast and the Furious movies as far as stunts and plot. The ending actually brought damn the entire theater I was in to tears as well, and I thought it was really emotional too
