Additional Details: - There was supposed to be a love interest in Sanford for Angel, but they decided to scrap the character, and instead gave the lines to Danny. - Angel's girlfriend Janine was portrayed by Cate Blanchett, probably the biggest name in the movie, and they have her in a cleansuit with a full mask. - Moulin Rouge guy is also Professor Horace Slughorn, the Potionsmaster in Half-Blood Prince. - As you've already figured out, yes, Timothy Dalton is indeed a James Bond. - The man dressed as Father Christmas stabbing Angel is actually Peter Jackson, the famous director. - The Chief Inspector that kicks Angel out to Sanford is the actor that portrays Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Hot Fuzz is a masterclass in film making. Writing, directing, acting, editing, cast everything is of the highest quality. It deserves multiple rewatches because there is so much small details missed on first watch. Every set up and pay off with the foreshadowing is perfection. Along with a huge cast with the likes of James Bond, Davy Jones, Galadriel and Dr. René Belloq. (Timothy Dalton, Bill Nighy, Cate Blanchett and Paul Freeman) Plus Peter Jackson as Santa. Om top of that only took 18 month to write and an astonishing 4 weeks to shoot. Does not get better than this. Can't wait for World's End.

The editing in this film is top notch In the UK so many students applied for policing because of this film. Even Simon Pegg did Police training for this. Timothy Dalton was James Bond in License to Kill and The Living Daylights. One detail I like is when Simon Skinners drives by, the songs he plays relate to the characters deaths.
@LunxAythia Жыл бұрын
The whole joke is that Simon Skinners is so obviously the bad guy that it’s couldn’t have even been a red herring, he is just straight up the bad guy. @@TheycallmeMrWonka No, the plot twist is that everyone is in on it with the second plot twist being that all these murders happened for absurdly petty reasons. That’s how SGT Angel (and Jen) figure out exactly what happened the second after Danny says, ‘it’s just the one killer actually’. @@DMFX1 haha I fully agree. I more meant it in a sarcastic manner because of how big of a Cap fan Holden is

Been to Wells, Somerset where this was filmed and it literally feels like I was walking around a movie set…because I was. One of my favourite films of all time. Me and the missus watched it again while we were there.

7:50. Fun fact the actor with the glasses at the cctv cameras, played in a popular show in the 80’s called The Equalizer

Yes Timmothy Dalton was before Brosnan. Shame he wasn't used in more films because he was really good

I think Jen should be in charge of picking things to show you from now on. That way she might actually enjoy it

I agree to an extent, I am curious as to what movies she enjoys.

Gonna have to watch the final piece of the Cornetto trilogy and get another beat down from Jen on British humour 😂

So glad to see you two watch this! Did you notice the cameos of Cate Blanchet as Nicks girlfriend in the beginning(girl in mask at crime scene in beginning) or Peter Jackson as the Santa that stabbed him?

HUGE Hot Fuzz fan , but i really appriciate Jen honesty about not really liking the movie. i prefer honest reaction over phony ones who try to pretend they like what they think the audience like.
