Yeah, that was what I liked about this. Billy reminds of one of my brothers, actually. Thought he was too cute to behave, did drugs, dropped out of school, felt like a completely different person. One day he finally got his act together, cleaned up, worked his way through nursing school and found who he was again. But when I was a kid, pretty close the Max's age, he was terrifying. Cocaine fueled rages, stealing to buy more... I wanted my parents to toss him out. I was sick of being scared. I'm glad they hung on in the long run because he still had it in him to become a better man. Was it the right choice to leave him at home with the rest of us? Not a call I ever want to make. Sorry, that's a bit heavy. Point is, a good character, like a real human being, isn't all one characteristic.

The production and story PHENOMENAL(especially starting to tie things together from the start of the series going into the final season 5). Holden & Jen, you guys are going to love it. I loved the 3rd season because the kids were older so there were more creative liberties taken (with their dialogue and overall storylines). Season 4 though was on a WHOLE other level (bigger budget, more horror, Grade-A acting from EVERYBODY!, incredible cinematography, an unbelievably amazing score etc.) I can't wait for you guys to get there.

Steve went from being just Nancy's boyfriend to the Mother of several children. And that is the character development of a lifetime. I don't really like how Mike is neglecting some of his friends though. You can balance being a good boyfriend and being a good friend. And Mike isn't really doing good on the friend stuff. At the very least, he checked on Will but poor Dustin. Also, I don't like Mike in certain instances, but Hopper was way out of line with the whole Nana thing. You don't lie about someone's family member potentially being in danger just to get your point across. Still love Hopper, but that was kinda yikes.

This is by far my favorite season. Like Jen, I love seeing Hop’s Dad mode get full unleashed towards Mike and what not. Not to mention it really showcases how funny David Harbor can be. I’ve heard some aren’t big fans of this season because of how heavy handed the 80s nostalgia is. But I think that’s what makes it so memorable. By far the most enjoyable season to watch IMO. Glad you guys are getting caught up!

Season 3 was my favourite season at the time. Now its Season 4. This is the "Fun" Season. Just pure 80s cheese and over the top fun for the most part. People didn't like that. I did. I think it works after two seasons of dark and serious tones. Its nice to go a bit light for this one. Also this 20:38 the sounds of the Grandfather Clock...which has been a common thing heard all the way back in Season 1. Foreshadowing and nice set-up to what's to come.

i actually think this season is a blast! i feel like ppl don't like it as much and it's kinda an insane season but i did a rewatch between s4 vol 1 & 2 and was like u know what!! this season was a fun time! also just the colors and lighting was just a perfect touch to a summer season also feel like mike and eleven are a little too much for 13 year olds..like lucas and max are much more in line with how a middle school relationship would be.

I'm with Hopper/Holden. Hopper tried the Joyce way, to his best extent, didn't work. And Mike was being real disrespectful. His way might have been a bit crude, but it was effective. xD I like that Eleven sort of got her "independence" from Mike. He was like the first person she met after leaving the lab, and she stuck around him, so its good that she's not focusing on Mike as much now. Max is a bit extreme tho, but I love it, its funny and nostalgic. xD
