I'll never forget how I felt when this album came out...it tugged so hard on my emotional strings that I was instantly nostalgic for it even though it was new. It just made me feel sad. I'd hear it on the radio KROQ at the intersection by upland and I could see the exciting beautiful southern CA world bustling out my window as the sun was starting to lower in the sky, but this song (and others like it) made me feel like I was completely missing out. It was really hard to plug into a cool scene in 1994, especially when you were 8. My mom took me to see the Offspring on their Smash tour March of 1995 for my 9th birthday and I finally got a first hand look at that scene. RIP Mom. Her and I bonded on these songs when they first came out. She really though they were cool.
