Six Day Dog Sledding Mountain Tour, Kiruna Sweden

In Late February 2014, I went on a six day dog sledding tour along the "King's Trail" in the mountains of Sweden. The tour company was Jukkasjärvi VildmarksTurer (www.JVT.se) and our tour guide was Markus Wiklund. This was my second tour over there, first time in the mountains. Our guide told us that this was only the second time in seven years that he had clear skies and no wind on the tour, we really got lucky with the weather. Also, a day before we left, the largest solar flare of 2014 was spit out by the sun, so we were treated to a sky full of northern lights (although we only had two completely clear nights to get good views).
I shot most of the footage with two GoPros. Some time-lapse sequences, including the night ones, were shot on a Canon 6D. A few other shots were on a Canon Powershot Elph. Everything was edited with Apple's Final Cut pro, and time-lapse sequences with Adobe Lightroom and LRTimelapse.

Awesome video! We have have just come back from the 6 day tour and loved it, your video has made our decision to progress to the King's Trail trip next year 😊 (Also awesome to see Marcus as we read lots about him in the guest book at Väkkärä!)

hey, really cool video. i am about to book the 10 days tour with jvt. question, how did u charge your cam without electricity? or so many extra batteries? :-)

Awe I'm Jealous! I haven't figure out yet if I'm going to make it up there this winter, I really missed not going last season. So there is no place to charge batteries, just gotta bring a bunch extra. For my go pros and iPhone I had decent sized charging brick that would last 6-7 days. For my main camera I just brought about 4 batteries. Hope that helps, have fun!
