I just found your channel and I LOVE how you explain why do do certain things - like adding the oil and butter. I've never tried cornbread dressing before and after seeing this I want to make it. You mentioned that you love the brown part on top. Do you think I could put make them in muffin tins - so I can freeze them and eat them at a later date and there will be more brown around the edges?

I love your recipe! You don't have to use butter and oil to sautee your veggies, just keep the heat at medium to medium high put the butter into your pan and melt it, just when the butter thunks about turning a golden brown put your veggies in. The butter won't burn.
@Letalone9 жыл бұрын
*thinks
@CookingWithCarolyn9 жыл бұрын
+Letalone You're right but I'm sweating the veggies on medium-high heat to keep the recipe moving. Sweating them out on low heat would take more time and dressing can have a lot steps and some steps can be moved along. In addition, the oil and butter offers moisture especially since there were no turkey juices to include. Dressing needs to be moist any way so that's why I did that, it doesn't really hurt it.
@bc12487 жыл бұрын
Right on to the turkey sausage! But I prefer the breakfast variety to the Italian. Great recipe!

@Carolyn When I am using the fresh thyme and sage....do I only use the leave part and discard the stem?

You can use the whole sage leaves and discard the stems it attached to. The thyme leaves are attached to a thin stem. Sometimes I just chop them up really fine.
