Thank you for the wonderful videos! When I was young a friend and I hiked from Holland Lake to Upper Holland and back in a day. There was still ice on part of Upper Holland. It was late June of 1982. The area was less used back then. Cheers!

Great video. I am going to the Bob this summer. I am curious to know if you saw any bears on your trip to the Bob or if you have any idea how common bear encounters are in the Bob ?

Thank you! We didn't see any bears on this trip, but check out my Chinese Wall video. In the description is a link to skip right to the part where we had a bear encounter. Bears are there for sure. Take the proper precautions with your food.

Is the smoke constant out there now? It sure messes up the view. Does it stay high enough overhead so that you are not breaking it? Still a great vid despite the smoke.

Made it out there two summers in a row in 98 and 99. Many good times had on upper Holland lake. Trout were good too. We had a scare one night thinking a bears snout was on my two youngers brothers tent wall. After getting me awake in my tent I look out with a flash light and it was a mule deer rambling thru camp

Great video Travis! Really nice editing. It's a shame you had to deal with the smoke. I've seen lots of people create a map with the moving line of the hike. How do you do that? Is it an app that records motion as you shade in the trail"
