I love imagining this as an alternate future where the non-hollow Vessels were allowed to just do whatever they wanted, so they all got together and made up infection tag. Everyone just gets used to the Vessel children chasing each other around Hollownest, and Vengeful Spirits breaking windows became an everyday occurence. And it only stopped when the Pale King had to start selling buzzsaws to pay for fixing them.
