You could do the average temperature of the whole month and see what color that is to use for the borders of each month marker Or you could pick two border colors that work with your color scheme (maybe greens?) and alternate those for the different months, and then crochet so that the middle third of the blanket is the 365 rows, and then the other two thirds on the top and bottom are thick stripes of the alternating colors I hope that at least some of that made any sense lol Whatever you choose to do, I know it will be beautiful and a blanket you'll cherish and be proud of for many years! 💙🌸💙😊

I would do little white X’s at each end of the first (or last) day of the month(s)’ line. (I hope that made sense 😅)That way it’s subtle and doesn’t disturb the ombre 🙂

I’m making one for my dad and I was thinking of doing a separate color for each kid/grandkids birthdays. But, I’m already passed a bunch of birthdays. Lol. My dad is 6’2 so I was hoping it would be long enough to get from shoulder to toe, but I’m having the same issue as you. I measured it width-wise for a double bed. He might have to turn it sideways too. I’m also doing muted blues, grays and cream/tans. I thought it would suit my dad. Or my 5’2 mom if she decides to steal it. Lol.

Hi!! I have an idea for your month markers. You crochet a border outside the blanket and create little like small domes/bumps where the months start and end! If this doesn't make sense I can describe little better. Single crochet around until the beginning or end of a month. Once your there you do like 3 half double crochets in the same stitch and then continue till the next month. Hope this helps! Love you and you encouraged me to start one of my own! I'm starting in January!!

How about a basic Stitch pattern to sew month separators onto the existing blanket?

If you do a border then I have a suggestion For the border of the month then what ever color is used the most in that month then that should be the border color (If you don't get my words Then just use the main color that you used for the month)

You could do a granny stitch on each side where you have your markers. Just a unique accent that separates the months. You could also add jewels or bobbles or whatnot to give it extra flare.

I think a border or tassels would be really cool!! And for the border if you do that, then for months with the reds and yellows then you could use one of those types of colours and for months with more blues and greens you could use purple maybe. Or you could alternate between colours for the months. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense!

If it's too short you can also consider making it a 2 year temperature blanket and just keep going, but I'm not sure if you want a 2 year project haha I really like how the colors change in this blanket

If you want to do a border, maybe you can pick one color for the border and then do one stitch in a different color where it separates. So you would do a white border, and then switch to black to put one stitch where your marker is and then switch back to white:)
