Great to see the whole of this episode. Louis and Jimmy Durante are fantastic together. I loved Jimmy's novelty piano number from 12' 30", some great stride playing!

Glad you're enjoying the shows! I was planning on doing just what you suggested, posting all the episodes I've got, regardless of whether they're already uploaded by someone else. I was surprised to see so few episodes posted in complete form. I've got around 70 shows all together.

Another great upload! I have always been a fan of dance troupe from other countries, this is one of things on my future To Do List, see as many as possible when I get the funds to do it!!! As a child, my voice or speaking voice was raspy, at a low register and kind of reminded people of Froggy from the Little Rascals. So I was made fun of a lot for sounding like a little boy, what changed the mocking was my ability to impersonate Louis Amstrong, all have to do was sing "Hello Dolly" and the kids would say, "How did you do that"!? So the mocking stop and amazement began and no I can't impersonate Satchmo now, so don't ask!!! Lol! Appreciate the tribute to LA!

There are definitely more available, but they're hard to find. The people who sell them generally don't give any indication of what shows are included, and even if they do, sell in sets that mostly duplicate what I already have. I can't spend $50 for a new set of discs to get maybe one or two additional shows, sadly. Glad you're enjoying the videos, though!

Wow! Thanx so much for sharing this little gem. My two favorite men! I've been in love with Jimmy Durante, and with Louie Armstrong, since I was little and used to sneak out of bed to go watch them. Two beautiful, wonderful men who can always make me smile. I was in high school when this Hollywood Palace was first-run. Still smiling! RIP, darling gentle men, and thanx so very very much for the magic, music, and memories. (edit bc my stupidphone cannot spell properly 🙄 )

That Show was really a graet one! I'm a bit amazed, that this concert tour in East Germany was such a point in your country. Here in the "late" East Germany it was really a great thing, especially for all Jazz enthusiasts. My father couldn't get tickets for the concert, but Louis played in my hometown!!! I was only three years old then. Two years ago at the 50th anniversary our lokal TV broadcast the legandary concert from Berlin in real good quality, such a treat for my DVD- shelf The "old Man Time" number with Jimmy Durante is fun!
