Heaven forbid if the HOLLYWOOD stars donated money to build a homeless shelter.

God forbid, high level execs have to see homeless people outside a recording studio. Let's spend money on blocking the sidewalks and making them look pretty with stupid cactus plants instead trying to remedy the homeless problem itself.

Only thing new is the tents. Hollywood has had a homeless problem for decades. In the early 2000s, Hollywood received a face lift, luxury high end shops and the kodak theater. I think a lot of people forgot or just don't know how sketchy Hollywood was in the 80s-90s and parts of the early 2000s. There were literally adult (porno) movie theaters on Hollywood blvd. All of the shady hotels have been shut down. The blvd in the 80s - 90s was a crazy place to be. People really should do some research and see how much Hollywood has improved over the years

These folks need to be put into an institution and helped or cared for since they cannot do it themselves.

Problem with that idea .. you'd need to violate their constitutional rights, declare them incompetent (either via a guardian, relative or The State!) and ... toughest of all ... fund the care with REAL MONEY $$$

I have experienced homelessness a few times in my life. The first time, I would hide in my boyfriend's closet in his mom's house because I wasn't allowed to live there. From there, I did find some sort of "stable" housing on someone's couch. The most recent time I was totally homeless to the point I was staying in a homeless shelter. Over COVID in 2020, they put me up in a motel for a pretty decent length of time (probably like 7 or 8 months), but I eventually found stable housing living at my dad's house. During all periods of being without a home, I was using drugs constantly. I have now been clean for 15 months and have my own apartment and job. I also have a cat that I am able to take care of

@@DOCU I believe in the Godhead . There is one God, Three Persons. Father , His Son Jesus who created us and the universe who is The Word (Genesis 1 and John 1) the UNCREATED Son *and incidentally and thankfully Son of Man - still) and Holy Spirit who enters your body at new birth. And never leaves. Who banishes sin by Jesus's victory, and will stay with you forever. Bringing Jesus inside by Holy Spirit. Yes I know Im a christian and am born again. I know the day year and hour and minute. Hopefully you do too. Two comments I wrote disappeared. Christianity is not primarily going to church that doesn't save you neither does talking to a priest, only a direct relationship with Almighty God who sees His son and listens to your prayers. Obviously He hears you before new birth, because Gods grace and goodness is for all. Not just christians. He doesnt punish but draws us in Love . I think certain evangelicals in the usa have completely gone awry and no longer walk in the truth and love of God. If they ever did. God is Love. Not capitalist, libertarian or anything wicked. He is Love. You cannot equate God with mans wickedness. Though some mentally troubled elites do. Mentally troubled because the demons that they walk around with probably manifest themselves in their rooms as well as in their actions. God bless.

As a foreigner who has visited LA i have to say it’s absolutely devastating to see the trash and level of homeless is next level. It’s heartbreaking to see that despite California being one of the top three economies in the world that its people are completely neglected while politicians cash in and industry makes billions daily . I love American people and y’all deserve better.
@DOCU9 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I used to live in LA and the homeless juxtaposed with the wealth a 20 minute freeway ride up the street was jarring. I used to spot celebrities and homeless people within a few hundred feet of each other at shops in Culver City where I grew up.
@philosophie87449 күн бұрын
@ thank you for your response. And yes the contrast is truly shocking . The problems are complex and layered . Both times I visited i helped people where i could and i wonder sometimes if everyone just helped a bit more… as a homeless man sat next to me at LAX I gave him cigarettes and food and money and the people walked by looking on with judgement and fear but this guy was not a bad person and im glad that I helped him a little bit. I really enjoy your videos they really are brilliantly done and thought provoking so thank you for speaking with such directness and truth. 💖💜💚💖💜

Hollywood looked just like this in 1968 too, it looked just like this in 1976 too, it looked just like this in 1994 too, the only people that think this is a new thing are young people that have never been to Hollywood. 😆

Everywhere has a drug problem . Most of those ppl wouldn’t be there if they weren’t addicts , had a job and could function in the real world. I feel bad for the taxpayers who are forced to live around that garbage. Force them into rehab and start arresting them for openly doing drugs. If a cop walked in and a person was trying to g to kill themselves they would be hospitalized against their will because they’re hurting themselves . Drugs are just a slower, dirtier death . Tax payers have no rights. Useless drug addicts act like animals. Their choice . Not ours. If it was our choice we wouldn’t choose that for them. I’d rather use my tax dollars to send the, to rehab or jail instead of providing clean needles. Get a grip ppl .
