Anyone who has had cancer or seen a loved one go through the cancer treatments knows why she didn't want to do more of it! The treatments in the 80's where very harsh and even today aren't much better. The one thing that has gotten better is finding it sooner but even with that you got to have a good team of professionals that take the time to listen to you and look carefully at the test results! With the health costs in the U.S.A. you're better off being in England. If she had treatments in the U S. all her money would have been gone in no time. Pay $5000.00 a shot or higher it doesn't take long for your money to be used up. Cancer's a true Bitch! Once your body starts messing with you it's very hard to straighten it out. She had a very strong will to live her life her way, hats off to her for that! 🎩👍👏

In an article about her, it revealed in the last few years of her life, a landlord caught her crying, asked her why and she sobbed it was her birthday and no one remembered. Don't know whether she quit acting by her own choice or whether the offers dried up because she wouldn't (booze). Either way her own choices played a role in her downward spiral, sadly, as did 3-4 failed marriages. Her fate is eerily similar to that of Gail Russell's, a beautiful 1940's actress whose career disappeared through alcohol, then drank herself to death alone surrounded by emptied bottles.

I can’t imagine having a “relationship” of any kind with a child, step-child or not. But in reality, a relationship with a step child is no big deal as long as the age of both is old enough. Eh….a 13 year old is too young no matter what. That part is disgustingly yucky. That kind of relationship with your own child…that too is about as yucky as it can get no matter what age for both.
