It should be noted that there are two conflicting reports about Dorothy Dandridge's cause of death. In the video I mention accidental drug overdose, however it has also been suggested that she died of a rare embolism.

One thing I noticed on a few of the graves is that rather than, "great actor" or "character name" they've chosen to have their military rank and service branch noted. Despite the fame, they wanted people to know they served their country. Very cool.

I don't get why there so many unmarked graves. It's amazing how we live our lives and at the end, we all end up the same. Love your videos
@JennaLeigh
@JennaLeigh 6 жыл бұрын
NILDA RODRIGUEZ I've been looking into it, just out of curiosity, and I've found that numerous graves may go unmarked for a few reasons: 1) if the actor or actress was Jewish, there is a tradition that a temporary marker stand for 1 year after death. After that 1 year, they get a proper marker. Or 2) the deceased was old and preceded in death by family and friends, leaving no one to look after the headstone/marker. Sometimes families purposely keep graves unmarked out of a desire to keep the final resting place private. They may do this out of a desire to keep knowledge of the grave within only the close friends and family. In some cases, the deceased was a controversial figure, and the family/friends were fearful that the grave could be vandalized. And sadly in some cases, there isn't anyone to oversee the grave. Judith Barsi, for example... She was a child actress who had also done voice work in cartoons. Sadly, her father was terribly abusive and ended up killing Judith, and I believe he killed her mother as well. Fans took up donations and saw to it that Judith finally got a headstone a few years ago. Sorry for the novel, there! Just wanted to shed a little light on that topic for you! 💗🖤

Arthur, Thank-You for a WONDERFUL WALK through a very BELOVED 'Cemetery'! I know ALOT of 'Hollywood Trivia, and will share this story with you. Gracie had a thing for 'CENTERPIECES'. So much so, that she and George had a TERRIBLE FALLING OUT, because Gracie was wanting a new one! George leaves, and when he returns the following MORNING, has a BEAUTIFUL NEW CENTERPIECE for Gracie!!!! Well, she knew what had transpired!!!! Gracie was overheard telling a friend a few years later - "I wish George would cheat again! I need a new CENTERPIECE!"

The true level of your talent is not just continuing to produce high quality videos, but keeping each succeeding video fresh and unique. You should receive an Oscar for your creative idea of having George Burns watching Hollywood Graveyard on his TV. Now, how many people would have thought of doing that? Not many. Undoubtedly, you will include Michael Jackson's resting place in subsequent videos. Just look for all of the sunflowers placed by fans near Michael's location as I understand the sunflower was his favorite flower. Thanks very much for your continued excellence and creativity.

I saw many times this video, and I find always something new. In another video, talking about Eymie Gormé, I remember Nat King Cole who sang in spanish too, he recorded three albums: "Cole Español", "A Mis Amigos" and "More Cole Español". The biggest Cole's hit in spanish is "Ansiedad". Nat had many fans in Latin America, and in spite of his death, fifty-two years ago, his music still is aired in latin radios. In Peru sounds many times. In case of Natalie, her daughter, I remain a song called "Sophisticated Lady" who was a hit in my country. Greets from Peru...

Arguably, what the majority of your viewers don't realize is that they are bearing witness to your evolving genius. Seriously, the epilogue of George Burns turning on the television to watch your videos - sheer brilliance. With the large number of celebrities buried at this location (James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Elizabeth Taylor, etc.), I could easily see you devoting more than 3 videos to Forest Lawn Glendale. My old stomping grounds! I worked briefly at FL when I lived in Glendale and it was fantastic being around the old buildings all day. The security staff are ruthless, though. They will turn the sprinklers on you if you appear to be a lookie-loo!

The story of The Lone Ranger continues to delight after all these years, even though it was beset in its last two incarnations by bad script writing, bad Direction, Bad acting and bad actors. A little known fact: John Reed became the Lone Ranger fighting for Law and Order in the early West. His great, great grandson also fought for Law and Order, and even though he too wore a mask and had a faithful sidekick, he was believed to be a Criminal. HIS name was Britt Reed, otherwise known as "The Green Hornet". The final resting place of Van Williams, The Green Hornet of 1966, is unknown.

I never heard of Natalie Cole's passing. Well, she'll be singing joyfully with her dad now. Nicely presented video. I'm going to watch the other parts now.

I was just there and was not allowed to take pictures inside. There are signs posted outside. Was very disappointed. It was truly beautiful. Only got to see Clark Gables from a distance.

I watched a bio on Clara Bow. The studio teased movie goers for about a year with clips like you included, making the "She's got IT" shorts in what was probably the first teaser for a coming attraction. And as always, "Bravo" to you for another great video. Arthur, you too have got IT!

I try not to nitpick cause these videos are so well done and I’m sure a ton of work. Minor quibble is some of the names are mispronounced. He called Knute Rockne “Ka Nute”. I’m sure it’s tough so many of these stars are from a bygone era but I’d probably do some googling on how to pronounce the names Otherwise fantastic series
