Several years ago, I was a lot like Arthur Dark in that I toured cemeteries throughout the country, marveling at the famous grave sites I could find. I still believe I am the only Heisman Trophy voter who has visited the grave site of trophy namesake John W. Heisman, who is buried in an obscure cemetery in northeast Wisconsin. Five years ago, however, my wife died very suddenly and I lost any interest in touring cemeteries. Only when I discovered the Hollywood Graveyard series did I come to grips with my grief and begin to renew my appreciation for how we honor those who have gone before. Thank you, Arthur, for restoring my interest in these great places of remembrance.

I'm sorry for your loss, Mark. Heisman is buried in Rhinelander, WI, in city-owned, Forest Home Cemetery, which was his second wife's hometown. If you ever get a chance to get to New Orleans, the above-ground cemeteries are so interesting. Lots of large ornate mausoleums - just do not go at night! Sketchy area.

This is another well made video and featured many I never heard of. Can't think of a better way to be introduced to past Hollywood celebrities than with these videos. Victor Bruno is one of the star's/actor's I remember best. His time on the Batman TV show as Long Tut was memorable. Again a fine job Mr. Dark.

Both my parents are at Fort Rosecrans! They are interred in a wall over looking San Diego bay! Edit: My parents are a couple “panel” down from the guy who was in the Little Rascals! Dad was a huge fan and he would be tickled to be close the him!

Bravo! I really enjoyed this one! The tiny touches, like ur clever comments about the weather 'miraculously' clearing up and how it moved back in. You never seem to forget the nature around you I appreciate that.

Arthur Dark, you make death fun. You make death interesting. You make death educational. You show us places that we would otherwise never see. You show us the beautiful side of death. For this, I thank you.🤗🤗Death may be forever, but you help to make sure that memories live on. Many people spend eternity in a place more pleasant and beautiful than they spent life😎 Thanks for showing us this🐾🐾🐺

Hello Arthur...loved, as I know you do, all the stunning stained glass in those cemetery’s...amazing work. Arthur, reading the names on some of those grave stones, they didn’t tally with the people we had known..only used to their stage names, so I commend you yet again for all your hard work researching these people, and where they rested. You even found some actors graves that didn’t even have a marker! Which I was very impressed by. I have never heard of Amelita Galla-Curci, the opera singer before, but am a great fan of La traviata, so hearing her sing her part in that just made my jaw drop! I have never heard such purity in such high notes ever before, and I’m so sad that she died before I was born, 😢. So many of these people gave so much to us, and entertained us over the years, some I’ve never heard of before, but your saying their names gave them chance to take a bow once again. Guiseppe’s music is perfect for the different themes of cemetery you visit too, so credit to him too (Thankyou Guiseppe! 👏🏻👏🏻💐🙋‍♀️) and once again, all the shoe leather you must get through with your long walks really IS worth it to us Arthur. Thankyou again, for another really interesting visit. Best wishes from the U.K.! Helen 🙋‍♀️😘👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐

What a wonderful surprise to find this today! Old favorite Victor Buono was an extra treat. It's a shame that his name isn't on the marker. Maybe there wasn't anyone left in his family to do it for him? Seems like he had plenty of fans. Anyway - it's always a delight to see you and watch your videos.

His remaining family (his little brother) doesn't want his name inscribed. Probably for privacy reasons since the Buono's are a secretive family. Victor was an amazing man and he is indeed fondly remembered by friends and family.
