This year, 2020, is one I cannot wait for it to be over! I lost my Father-In-Law (a Vietnam Veteran) and my Father (a Korean War Veteran) within five months of each other. My Father-In-Law died in May and my Father died on October 16th. This is my first Veterans Day without them .... without me being able to call them and thanking them for their service as well! PLEASE, if you have a family member who is a Veteran, call them and tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love them!! Because TRUST ME, you will wish you had done it more when they are gone!! GOD BLESS ALL OF OUR VETERANS!!!! @Hollywood Graveyard thank you so much for doing this!!

LANC is unique in that the older section (north) has all the uprights and the "newer" section (south) has the flat, ground markers. LANC is full up to new interrements, unless there is a companion crypt for a spouse of family members. Thats why they built the new columbaria across the freeway.

LANC is in my Top 3 favorite SoCal cemeteries. And w/ the new columbaria, across the 405, it makes it that much more honorable to me. I've visited quite a few of the famous that Arthur showcased here but my fascination w/ these hallowed grounds are the 14 Medal Of Honor recipients that call this place their Valhalla. Anyone else notice just how many of these actors were officers during their military careers? I always feel the sheer honor of those that rest at LANC when I visit. Makes me proud to walk amongst those that served before me. And a nice shout out to my fellow shipmates interred here.
