Even though George Reeves is the only name I knew, I love how you introduce us to people who made contributions to tv and film who are not necessarily household names- and of course the man without whom these celebs would not have a beautiful moseleum to lie in.

The little 'extras' in your videos really make an outstanding clip a million times better: the animals you encounter, panoramic shots of the buildings, views of well made lawns, and in this one, the oldest grave marker. If you were to add a very short history of the entire site as well as the oldest graves in each video, that would make this entire production over the top. Thank you for both your artistic skills as well as your high level of respect in each and every one of these!

I was born in Van Nuys and grew up in Altadena during the 60-70's. I remember those hot summer days when I would stop off at Mountain View to rest. I would ride my bike around the property, and to think about the folks interred there. Now, at 60, and living in Michigan, I am happy to hear that the cemetery is still owned by the same family. It is, indeed, an Altadena landmark. Awesome film and narrative. Thanks for the hard work and researching. Peace, my brother. Dan.

What a highly enjoyable upload this is. The cemeteries in the U.S.A certainly beat the hell out of the ones in UK. I can't get over how grand looking they all are.
@racafritz6 жыл бұрын
Oh I don’t know. Every cemetery has it’s charm. While here in Los Angeles ours are very open and large but, we don’t have a lot of headstones anymore. We have some because they’re from bygone days and some cemeteries still do them but, mostly we have plaques set into the ground. Not as glamorous but, it makes mowing the lawns easier.
@polestar6966 жыл бұрын
@@racafritz The cemeteries over here are running out of space. My local one is very low on space and according to the local media headstones will be curtailed in the near future. The cemeteries in London are out of this world. You want to come over and tour them !
@racafritz6 жыл бұрын
Oh man, I would love to visit! The heart is willing but, the coin purse is full of moths. So, if the cemeteries are running out of room are most people opting for cremation or are there plans for land to be used for newer cemeteries? Moving to use plaques will save some space but, you still have the coffins below. I don’t want to come off stupid I’ve just never been to the U.K. Or the cemeteries. Just an honest question.
