I think the reason why Britney is still so hung up on JT after all these years is bc being with him was probably the only time she was ever truly, TRULY HAPPY. He was her security , her safe place, they had the same passion for music and performing.She never could find better after him, they grew up together, he was her first love. She wanted to be with him forever but he unfortunately outgrew her and left her and they never got back together. 💔

The first love and childhood memories and their status together being once the Pop Prince & Princess, their relationship really was a fairytale but according to JT that's all they were was just a "fairytale" and that nothing about them being together ever really made sense, he loved Britney at one time but that he finally outgrew his relationship with her, she wanted forever and he didn't.. he was about to go solo and didn't want to be tied down, it was a highschool relationship and like most highschool relationships they eventually come to an end, she knows she won't ever find that young innocent love again and that what she misses.. notice she hasn't brought JT back up on social media since he mocked her apology?

This was very close to around the time they broke up, hence why Justin looks so annoyed. I think he actually knew about the cheating incident at this point and they were trying to work it out. This was in February of 2002 and they broke up in March, a month later. I still miss them lol.

I think they were fighting a lot during this time, you can see how Britney was clinging to him and his hand leaning towards him being affectionate while he's keeping his distance and standing offish like he's bored and pissed like he didn't wanna be there, he broke up with her shortly after this so I think he was just done with Britney here and it's showing in his face while she desperately was trying to hold onto him.

But for the remainder of history? Come on, she definitely takes that title. Who knows what names will be remembered 25, 50, 100, 200 years from now…? But Britney as she was when her career first launched will always be remembered over Justin, because when considering all of history, his later success isn’t that big of a deal, and his earlier success he shares with four other guys (plus the BSB as their rivals). Britney was a powerhouse all on her own.
