Pose is the first show I've watched where I have to pace myself with each episode being released by fear of losing a character to bigotry, hate, violence or HIV/AIDS. The first season served as an introduction, shocker, to a world my generation knows so little about, except for Paris is Burning, but the second season wiped the whole "This is trans and queer poc' lives' and made them simply human. Also, their depiction of sex work is the closest I've seen on TV to reality. I love these individuals. I need to see them booked on other stuff now. Their raw talent is undeniable and transcends any expression of gender or sexuality. That is the mark of real artistry. Special mention to Angel Bismarck Curiel. I've never seen such a realistic expression of non toxic, contemporary masculinity.

@desglacons god bless you sweetie for helping them feel better. i losed a gay nephew a few years ago through a accident. he was hit by a car at night.no justice was served.i remember being an aunt to him as a baby and it broke me to a million pieces. this baby took my heart with her.i remember his smile n jokes. her flair for fashion(always in my closet).instead of building a wall they need to find a cure for aids,its touched so many peoples lives.episode 4 I believe had me in tears with candy passing n her funeral send off.i love this show n touch others hearts like it did mine.

The writing is strong, the acting is some of the best which is saying something in this era of peak television (and yes MJ was snubbed), it's entertaining as hell but even more than that is how educational Pose is about these characters, this time period, the struggle, the joy and beautiful sense of family! i hope the interviewer apologized after the whole coke scene thing because god was that awkward..... like i don’t blame her for not knowing (even though the “they totally became junkies” line was.. oof) but i still feel so bad for indya. also even without the personal effect on indya in real life i thought that whole drug storyline was genuinely sad because they just didn’t know any better. it was scary how that lack of education on drugs caused them to fall into the grips of addiction so easily

What an amazing series with so much depth and heart and what an impeccable cast. It’s about time the trans experience takes the place it deserves in the LGBTQI+ narrative, let’s not forget that Black and Latina trans women were at the forefront of the Stonewall movement and as a community we owe them all big time. I love that the second season touched on so many issues still important in the community, like bottom shaming, toxic masculinity, activism, etc.

right about educating people and it is so raw at times I do put myself right there feeling how they must feel going through the downs and the ups trans and gay people go through.I smile when I see a commercial showing two women as a couple or two men, even white people married to black people.IN my younger years you would never see this nor speak about it. All the girls I went to school with that are now able to come out and be gay or be with the man they love who may be black, being the guys who hid the fact they were gay back then and had to hide it are now free, above all having their rights not taken from them as much as they were back then, which we still need to change and work on. In the town, I live in years ago white people lived all around and black people would be afraid to come to this area because of the prejudiced white people had, now there are just a few white families here and mostly black families live around us, which some judge me because of my color and other just see me a person. But that is what those who judged black people back then get, it gets turned around . It started because one brave black family moved here and didn't fear walking down the sidewalk, other black families started moving in until most of the whites move away or those who stayed have grown old and died. Fear cripples people but having one strong family who stood holding their head up high who knew they did not have to fear any man-made a stand and change came, who ran with their tail between their legs? Those very people who thought they could make others fear them, bullies in my book. I would love to meet all these actors and hug them and thank them, they made me feel as they would really feel and I cried like a baby and yet so proud finally a show who hits on the truths and rawness of of the human heart
