Espen Lund is yours the sport crawlmaster? I have a 45 spur and 12 pinion just waiting on my motor to get here. How’s the speed? I have a 540 20t so I know how smooth they are.

I went with the 12t Crawlmaster Pro 550 in my gen 8 stock pinion its amazing plenty of wheel speed, torque city. That $5 esc works good enough until my 1060 gets here I put holmes xxx springs on the motor now I have a descent drag brake even tho the esc doesnt have drag brake.

Tech NO City if brush pressure is creating that much drag that’s not a good thing IMO. If you can, get the 1080 it’s way better than the 1060. Use the 1060 as a winch controller

Best foams I have found for the C3 Deep Woods are the dual stage Proline's. It's not perfect, but fits and works well.

I have had my 25k China servo. On 7.4v with the 1080 ESC in my sport. No problems to report. Like that 10t motor!!! NC❤ MOUNTAINS Backyard RC🏞🖒💯

awesome brother!!!! i have the same motor in one of my scx 2's....nothing beats the smoothness of a HH crawlmaster pro brushed motor. Speaking of servo's, when i need to go cheap, i buy the power hd 23kg waterproof ones. i bump the voltage up to 7.4 and have never had one fail, i've had one in my 2.2 wraith for over a year now and it still works after LOTS of abuse!! stay groovy mang;)

I like the Holmes Hobbies stuff especially the HH BR-XL the ESC it the best a bit pricey but you get what you pay for....I have HW 1080s but if O want something good stay there but if you want something great go with Hh BR-XL....

Hey man i have a question i hope you or someone else can chime in...i have a TRX4 sport and i like more speed...i'm on 17t pinion and 39t spur so as fast as recommended and the stock 21t motor is too slow even on 3s. Is there a motor that could be put on the stock ESC and run 3s that would be faster than the 21t motor and still last a bit? thanks

Rc Garage ph get the 550. Much more power.

The 550 packs way more raw torque than the 540 does due to the longer armature and magnets.

I tried both the over and under drive, I found it to be too much but was great in turns. I took it all out but put just the over drive into a comp truck

You gotta try a holmes hobbies motor even one of there new inexpensive crawlmaster sport I love the 5 slot design. They only use the best quality parts to build there motors. Great support if you ever run into any problems they answer back quick. I dont think you can find a better quality motor any where else.

Have you ever thought of mounting a Phone holder on your remote? Many other rc guys do this and it might make driving and filming at the same time much more comfortable. This Was very entertaining with the cat as "variable obstacle" 😄

Hey dude I have the exact same set up as you but my BEC is set at 7v. With the stock ESC the servo worked fine but mine hardy turns at all ever since I put this set up in. At first didn't I didn't have a BEC and John told me I needed one to power that servo. I asked him why? All the stock companies ESC's can run that cheap servo and he said maybe send the ESC back. Did you happen to try yours at 7v before going to 8v? And how the hell do you have the micro servos running from the ESC AT 6V? Thanks!

RC Intro at 6v it’s weak. It’s holding well as it is now. I have a servo bypass so the bec only powers the servo and nothing else. The esc powers the shift and diff servos

L R yes and no, it helps dissipate heat but it also moves the motor back a tiny bit making the long can Axe 2700 and 3300 a very tight fit.
