This was an excellent episode. I do love the original 4, but Stephanie brought a lot to the table (literally!) - she is a very clear communicator and made the game really simple to understand. It was also cool seeing a two player game done as teams, because it meant you had to talk your strategies out so much - great for viewers!

Thank you for playing this two player in this format. It really made it possible to do on video. If all the play was an internal conversation then the game would not have been very interesting to watch at all. By having two players on the same team have to talk, it gave me a much better idea of how one would play the game and the kinds of decision making that I would have to do. But it seemed completely natural and not artificial like it would have been if you just asked to players two think aloud throughout the whole game.

Jonathan, we agree. Unfortunately that happens with games with more than two players as well and that is why we try to speak about our strategies while playing the game. It is hard to keep it in mind when we are playing but it helps people watching to see some of the featured game's depth. Thanks for the note and for watching.

Just got to play this one yesterday and it's a pretty good 2 player game. But oh so hard to get anywhere. Now it's in english i hope it comes more available. Friends of mine are interested in bringing this game out in dutch.

It's hard to miss "the regular" when the "visitor" is doing so well :) though it feels plain weird without the Dave'ster. Glad to see Rusty again also!

Yeah... I didn't know what to do at that point. You can see my hesitation. It messes with fate no matter what - if you put it back and shuffle everything, put it on the bottom, etc. So, I just put it back and let Nikki make most of the decisions. Really, the most important thing is that we showcase the game; none of us really care about winning. There was some internal struggle, though! Also, none of the actions after that were really affected by the knowledge of that card since it was their turn next, and the card was revealed anyway.

After watching the whole episode, i really think the start player have an advantage, even tho that it mostly depends on the cards that comes up, but it seems a little unbalanced. What are your thoughts on that?

well, then the problem lies with you gets dobbelt turns all the time :)

Yeah, but everyone would get double turns and have to think about the best combo about it. Because even with the double turn, someecards wouldn't be available.

Well, then it ends up being the start player of the game, that is at a disadvantage. So it is a hard problem to solve, i think the card they talk about at the end, where none start player gets to hold a card for later. But i really think it needs something to balance out the start player "problem"

I feel like there are some pros and cons. Since there's no action blocking, you can always take the same actions. The only thing would be in choosing some of the clue cards. Also, there's certainly benefit to getting to make the last action, especially when you can steal cards.
