She's... wrong and right at the same time, for all intents and purposes. Watame's wrong because she, along with a lot of entertainers around (like Hololive for the English viewers since last year), had done a lot to entertain us with their ideas for entertainment, especially with what happened throughout last year for everyone in the world (like Covid-19 and a lot of cancelled events). However, she's also right. As much as she had done a lot of things to help us in these times, Watame's still an entertainer at the end of the day - a one step for someone to be a better person, not the whole process (unless that person actually knows her IRL). Everyone still had to deal with the real life events and had to find solutions for these eventually. Even Watame had to do her best IRL outside of streaming, especially with regards in improving/evaluating her singing capabilities every time (she talked about vocal practices in her twitter account sometimes... also her practicing Mario Kart off-stream for her preparation to the tournament). I still appreciate Watame for her empathy/sympathy to her viewers for these moments.

@YourMumGreen3 жыл бұрын
I know this is 6 months too late but your comment is my thoughts exactly while watching this video. For someone struggling with depression and has contemplated suicide, him giving her money is one of, if not, the most concerning thing when it comes to his condition. Suicidal people often put off or even abort their suicide attempts because of their sense of responsibility, the burden of depression ironically is what keeps them away from suicide. A telltale sign of someone who will actually go through and succeed with a suicide attempt is someone who gives and is uncharacteristically happy, considering their usual behaviour being affected by depression. Often times, suicide victims will feel euphoria and a sense that a weight has been lifted off their chest because of their decision and conviction in commiting suicide, leading to them seeming happier and more at ease by the people closest to them, and even going so far as to give extravagant gifts to people they care about. Eerily similar to what the video just portrayed. But in any case, for anyone reading this if you have someone you know that has history battling depression and suicidal tendencies, please stick around them and make it painfully known that they are loved and cared for, help them get help, help them help themselves, especially during times in which they suddenly seem normal/happier, because everytime a person's life is lost, and it is always a loss, a world dies, countless other lives are ruined, and the world is never better for it.

Thank you for clipping and translating this im really glad i could see it. Im extremely glad to have stumbled into this community because it has genuinely been one of the best communities ever to be in. The talent themselves are all very uplifting, entertaining, and seem to all be very caring people. The community is also very entertaining but has normalized being extremely generous and that has only come out in the best way in my eyes. A reciprocating loop of care and affection is being fed into and it feels like everyone is coming out of it in a better place. I think its truly amazing that this community has been created and i very much wish for it to continue for a long time, i will also do my best to support it in what little ways i can. Thank you to the talent, the clippers, and all of the community who can help support the streams/videos/clips, its certainly made my life much much better and i wish those same positive feelings reach everyone else who chooses to interact here.

No one can melt my heart like Watame. This isn't the first time she's gotten a message like this. She's been told at least twice before about someone contemplating suicide and just watching Watame's streams made them feel better.

This was very heart-warming. The guy was spot on when he said that her voice feels like a hug. It's so motherly. It's quite wonderful that something so simple can give you the strength to keep on living.

This is why I like Watame, he has a warm heart he always reads comments while playing even though it's not super chat or even super chat he always reads it, Not that the other members are not like that but Watame always reads comments every minute not only when he asks for help Even when we joke around with him Watame always laughs with us even though I laugh sometimes don't understand what he is saying 😅

@@vyn5061 Lol, This reminds me when I was studying Japanese while learning the "de"(で)particle which is used to show a tool or way of doing an action.And my teacher asked questions "Anata wa nan de Gohan wo tabemasuka" which means using what you eat? and there different answers came out, some answered chicken, fish and some answered because they were hungry 🤣🤣 Although I answered with an egg and my teacher laughed for almost two minutes. we think the question is what do you eat? I usually interpret the word why always use "nande" 🤣

Her voice quiver at "I love you the most" gets me every time. I'm quite new to the Vtuber fandom, I'd only ever seen short translated videos that would pop up in my recommended from time to time but never actually bothered to jump down the "Rabbit hole". Finally decided to take the plunge and don't regret it one bit, there's a lot more to being a Vtuber than I initially gave them credit for. There's a legitimate feeling of warmth I get from watching them, I can tell the amount of effort they're putting in while streaming as well as behind the scenes, it just makes me want to cheer them on for never ending success.

there are many way to simp, and i have been used to people lying to get attention on themselves, regardless, that message was very sweet. I may sound heartless when i say that there is always the risk that this person may have just wanted compassion and emphasized on their problems to have more than what they'd deserve, but to be honest people who seek attention generally does need it, so i don't really care actually whether that person lied or exaggerated anything they said, because among the thousands of people here, someone probably thinks similar words. Being an idol must be a lot of pressure, and knowing you can influence a life for the better by accepting this pressure may cause more pressure, but it also reminds said idol, here, an adorable sheep girl, that someone somewhere had a nice day thanks to her and that she's not worthless. And her tears of compassion may show people who are in such a situation as described by the sc are cared for, even if they appear to be just a number at first. As i like to say, sometimes, kindness is enough.
