You definitely need to test Avenging Crusader with the Lightsmith hero talents. With the Crusader Strike dmg increase by 100% after every spender, those AC windows become HUGE. Was MadSkillz top heal on beta (and I had it as 2nd but group fell apart this morning...)

I really hope they do prune seasons and tyrs. I only like seasons because of winter for mana regen, but if they can bake that into some other talent and get rid of seasons all together it would be ideal. Would also love for them to get rid of tyrs as well since they've been constantly nerfing it to where it just doesn't feel as good. Hoping they look at some other talents to like Sanctified Wrath (same node as Awakened), no idea how many people actually choose that talent but I can assume it's pretty small if at all, so hopefully they look into redoing that talent.

Daybreak hasnt been removed its been baked into Rising Sunlight and Divine Toll essentially. They got rid of the button which is still welcomed.

Nah. Half-baked at best. Daybreak gave 9x Holy Shocks on a 1 minute CD to use as you wanted. Now its 6x in your Divine Toll, which already casts 5 Holy Shocks AT RANDOM, on 1 minute CD. I'd rather they got rid of Divine Toll and put Daybreak in its place. Then you have another 4x on Wings, which is more total on paper but at the cost of having to use them during two separate CDs. Daybreak was great for spot heals as well as an execute and fit great into the rotation between Wings and DT. Having the 4x on Wings is bad because people might want to run Avenging Crusader in which they should only need to press CS with SoR and maybe a Judgment. Now they have to spend on casting HS to maximise Rising Sunlight it instead of spending them on SoR to reduce the cd of CS to maximise the healing of AC which is the whole point of picking it! Or not spend the Holy Shocks during Wings and have 4x extra unwanted HS that will over heal the next time you case seeing as you just topped everyone up with Wings! On top of that they kept Blessing of Summer and Tyr's Deliverance...Absolute joke.

It was DEFINITELY removed. You're thinking of "Rising Sunlight" which used to proc the triple holy shock AFTER using Daybreak. Daybreak used to consume active glimmers at 300% effect and thats it.

Hi Jak great work with the healing spec! For hpally start playing at the end of S3 and having fun with it melee wings really a blast. For a healing perspective u can do +10 even with it if u master it but really lacking a bit.... For the blessing of summer i just change to the pasive aura healing xD is easier to manage and have a decent output much bottun blow. Great work with it

I'm so surprised they haven't turned Infusion of Light into a stack system yet like Enhancement Maelstrum procs. Just make each stack do a small effect on the next cast and have the gameplay revolve around getting stacks pretty quickly and being able to cast a half-baked Holy Light at any moment or waiting to get full stacks. They could even include more effects into the stacks and have more talents interact with them.

it’s funny that summer in my opinion was the first bit of testing they ever did for how aug evoker works but they never went back and made it feel better. i feel like the damage that is being done with summer could literally just be shown as battle text and then will feel better instead of just on meters idk why but i really enjoy summers rotation, especially in raid. i know everyone else hates it tho

in retail you just constantly rotate between using beacon, divine toll, and things like devo aura. you can double up on them if something really big is coming. no need to worry about sitting on anything unless you know a big event is coming that you need something for. also doing things like pre-emptivley blessing of protection on the melee dps so they can go wild on a big pull without worrying about aggro will make them love you

I think they should do a choice node after aura mastery but instead of the 10% healing or extra CDR they should be Aura of season where you apply one of the seasons as an aura to everyone but without the buffed dmg reduction and maybe interact with melee skills. And the other choice would beTyr deliverance would replace aura mastery give the damage reduction with the extra effect but every time you cast holy light, flash of light or holy shock it would proc a small heal for everyone affect by your aura to help heal those dot style heals. The cd for each would vary but they could be a choice to either throughput and raid survival or utility

I personally really like Tyr’s it makes me feel like I have a button to help with Rot damage and can keep up with druids and monks in those damage profiles. I liked the gameplay of extending it too. I think it has a place in the tree but I agree it’s clunky to get rolling and used with Divine Favor

No way!!!!!! I was really worried about hpal losing that tier set with the daybreak cooldown reduction. The 45 second cooldown lined up well with dungeons and raid damage output. It was so cooldown focused that the burst healing was pretty much just extended by 15 seconds. This is good.

I still cannot believe we have blessing of summer over ashen hallow or necrolord hammer. I know there was the judgement gives a free light of dawn was a thing, but the extra holy power from necro hammer felt great in sl s3/4.

Tyrs deliverance inside of Virtue feels pretty nice, other than that, unnoticeable. As much as I greatly prefer melee play style, leaning into infusion of light Holy Light spamming feels strangely satisfying. Holy light procs hit so hard it almost feels like a castable WoG. I really like the agency you have as herald.

It's definitely going in the right direction but man would it be nice to have some actual ability pruning. More power in the spenders has been such a long time coming and that's nice it's finally here. It still feels like we'll be busting our asses to be middle of the pack but we'll see. Like others I want Seasons gone. I'm also concerned with our ability to heal multiple people simultaneously now. As weak as Glimmer healing was it was still pretty much totally passive throughput on up to 8 targets, that was nice. Beacon being on the GCD heavily limits doing anything with that (and I wouldn't want that playstyle anyway) so besides Eternal Flame if taken we won't really have any passive healing on multiple people. Tyr's seems so weak now I doubt it will be worth taking, which is always a strange way of doing things to me; nerfing something to the point where it's just never a consideration, basically the same as removing it. Maybe Lightsmith with melee wings will be the way to go, that seems promising atm but I have doubts it will be the strongest option.

It's really odd how Holy Paladin gets to mostly pick all of its final talents. There's no specializing in anything, there's no choosing one thing over the other. Especially the class tree is cluttered with boring talents. They could have Holy Paladin choose between melee and ranged playstyle, choose to optimize for damage with a splash of healing with Truth Prevails, Veneration, Crusader Strike, etc., choose to optimize for sustain with Divine Revelations and Inflorescence but it feels like talents are just thrown here and there without much thought to their positioning. The center of the spec tree still remains dead and boring too and it sucks so bad when you're actively trying to avoid pathing through that when it should have been the other way around - splitting off of it and specializing into different things.

It seems like it was a step in the right direction but not enough has been done to make it as strong as other healers. Super bummed about loosing Daybreak. They're giving some of the effects into other abilities but they're effectively just making cooldowns I already have "win more cooldowns," they were already powerful enough on their own in my opinion, the extra benefit they now have feels excessive and better used elsewhere. Having that third cooldown in Daybreak to use when I wanted felt infinitely more impactful. Really really hope they revert this change.

If they want to give us mildly caster flavored talents we should just get denouce back. Do it as a ranged filler like smite, don't make it steal crit from the target like it used to so people won't cry in pvp, and it could generate holy power. The holy power generation could even be every 2 or 3 denouce casts to keep things balanced. I like caster holy when it actually works but I've never been a fan of the half steps between melee and caster builds we're forced into.

I could totally be wrong, but I'm wondering if better and more efficient use of barrier of faith/prism and it's proc towards divine favor needs to be utilized more. Watching your footage and play testing on stream looked like you were very conservative with it's use. It's mana cost isn't nothing, so maybe it could be a mana sink if you spam it on cd, but I wonder if that could be a part to consider for making some of the caster moments and infusion procs feel more impactful and utilized with FoL/HL.

lightsmith isnt bugged its just that they buffed sacred weapons 2 times in a row without giving it an icd, this shit triggers for 20 seconds for EVERY HITEVENT the target you are buffing does, you can even cheese it more if you are healpal/prot and stack int/primary stacking trinkets and doubling the value , before this weeks buff 1 use with int stack cheese did 230million damage on 4 targets with an arcane mage in 20seconds.

You know for that constant pulsing aoe damage you could take merciful auras instead of annoying Blessing of Summer :D I refuse to ever play Blessing of Summer I hate rotating buffs so much. Light smith is less annoying since it only rotates between two buffs, at least. But rotating buffs is a thing I'd want to see go. Just give me two spells. Paladin doesn't have a lot of key binds anyway.

This doesn't seem to fix the issues with hpal, so I highly doubt it's going to change anything. Until the class starts to feel as good and fluid as it did in S2, it'll be bad. Their hero talents are still nerfed too. Also, when testing specs, you should probably do it with pugs all the time, because there is no way in hell you can say "X or Y thing feels good" when playing with people like Equinox or any other top players.

Still not a melee healer though. Why a Paladin, a Warrior of the light can not decently heal or buff people by doing damage baffles me. Why can we wield 2 hander intellect weapons but not be able to use them because we cant use parts of our kit if we do.

I liked Glimmer, found it nice to play with it, want to do max dmg, have no glimmers out on allies, give only the tank one for max dmg reduction, only on one enemy to focus him down or of course have them spread out on allies so i can easy virtue and daybreak and everyones topped. very versatile in my opinion but i sure take a more simplified approach if it means my spells hit hard without any need of additional mechanics

Healers should mainly heal... tanks should mainly tank... damage dealers should mainly do damage. Mages shouldnt be able to tank 6 huge hits and holy paladins shouldnt be doing even tank amounts of damage.

Thanks JAk -- still feel we need more rework done. I like the holy power concept, but still too many buttons and they need to prune/combine a lot of abilities down. Additionally, they need to fix the class tree more to make it be clear that, for example right side is melee focus and left is caster centric style and middle can buff both depending. These blessing spells were fun but the way they are implemented and especially as rotating buffs isn't fun. I also wouldn't mind if they backed in wings into abilities entirely and removed that button too.

Removing glimmer/daybreak and having the rework focus more on burst healing/shielding, seems counterproductive to the healing issue you've been discussing. This rework feels like it's focusing on the current state of healing, which is worrying for the upcoming expansion. This is not a great indicator Blizz will change how healing will be in TWW.
