Also, besides the obvious compliment that Phil's vocals deserve, I would like to take a moment to compliment all three guitarists, but specially Ben Savage. Guy has just been slowly climbing his way through my list of favorite guitarists and his solos/ melodies are always very inspirational and beautiful, and this one right here and the one in Lost Boy may just have cemented him as one of my top guitar players among Mikael Åkerfeldt and Anders Nyström, and the guy still has an album worth of material to push the point even further. Fucking majestic!
@williamkramer97313 жыл бұрын
He's obviously got the speed, but I've loved the glimpses mixed in of, the best way i can describe it, a metal David Gilmore..... As far as metal guitarists, I haven't heard him do anything that wasn't tasteful and especially a melodic slower solo like this screams Gilmore. It takes a special guitarist to pull off all styles of solos and never take them too far.

Great review Birb!! It’s easy for a death core singer to show case life hardships in a traditional death core style vocal. But the way Phil slows everything down an let’s us really hear the struggle and the lyrics, it’s makes our listening experience so much more real.

Yes the vocals are the key part of this song but damn everyone in the band had a chance to flair with this one even the bassist had some sick ass lines he laid down with Phil’s melodies. Rudi killed it as always and the proggy guitars and undercut harmonies and solo. Its just a 10/10 song to me. Still weird that it’s whitechapel that made this fantastic song considering I’ve followed them since 06 and somatic defilement era but damn Phil is the GOAT to me noe
