During WW2, if two strangers came ashore and wandered around asking quesitons, meeting people and talking with a German accent, the FBI would wish to know who these people were, and go asking those who these strangers met to let them know these men. Yet, had you continued watching the video up through minute 3, you would have learned that these cities and many many others miraculously survived the rough date attributed to the worldwide flood without the slightest evidence of the type of damage one would expect from the type of all encompassing flood event.that is described in the bible. @Eucharist Angel 1. You understand that "mathematically impossible" is just a name for "possible, but very unlikely", right? Any unlikely thing is bound to happen if you spend enough time trying to make it happen. Shuffle a deck enough times, and it'll eventually be shuffled into a numeric order. Might take you billions of years, but it's more a question of "when" rather than "if". 2. How "mathematically possible" is the christian god? (I'm assuming you're christian, if not then substitute your own imaginary friend). How can you begin to calculate the probability of him existing?
@davidk75293 жыл бұрын
@Eucharist Angel Impossible just like heliocentrism? Evolution is an observable and thoroughly proven fact, get over it. You've already accepted all sorts of previously heretical scientific facts, this is just the next one in line. The abrahamic faiths corrupt any sorta historicity they touch. The stories that have been re-pieced together, without christian influence, from the norse myths sound exactly like what bronze age people would have to have real scientific notions like the big bang, the galaxy, other planets, the vacuum of outer space, evolution, etc, be phrased as. Such as the sparks of muspelheim and drippings of niflheim meeting in ginungagap (outer space) and causing a massive outward expansion of ginungagap. Pieces of both places leaked into ginungagap and lead to the formations of the first stars and planets. From the ice of niflheim melted the first three beings; ymir, burri and bestla. A jotun, an aesir and a primordial cow. Burri's great great grandsons Vili, Ve, and wotanaz (odin) slew the jotun ymir. Odin used the pieces of ymir to craft a new planet, revolving around what we now call the star sol (the sun). With the left overs he created the seas, the clouds, the moon and the first life on earth. Before all this however, sometime after the expansion of ginungagap, what is described as a great sprawling tree formed, with a well in its center that leads to niflheim and helheim. Upon its branches and roots, many planets formed, only 5 had intelligent life worthy of note by the gods; Asgard (intentionally formed from cosmic materials), vanaheim, alfheim, svartalfheim and jotunheim. Niflheim is more so a place seperate from the rest of ..well, everything, with its entrance being the well that formed at the center of the great tree yggdrasil. Muspelheim is only accessible from that same well and is in the same vein as niflheim and helheim. So in modern science terms, mixed with norse religous literalism in mind: two extra-universal planes met, caused the singularity that was all of time, space and matter, caused it to start expanding rapidly. Thus kickstarting the formation of the planets and stars. From one of these extra-universal planes came three extra-universal beings. One is described as an embodiment of chaos, the other is a primordial cow that nurtured the other two and the third was the first of the aesir. Ymir asexually created offspring, whom burri and his descendants procreated with and produced the aesir with, down to the three brothers who slew ymir. His body's chemical makeup was used as a blueprint to create the planet earth in the sol star system (the solar system lol) within the habitable region. On this planet they laid the chemical ground work for life to form. Once life was begining to become multi-cellular they manipulated the conditions to be favorable to our evolution, which was a chemical and intra-universal representation of themselves. All other life on earth was simply a bi-product, either intentional or unintentional. While all that was happening 4 other planets formed, three with unique, intelligent and sentient life forms: vanir on vanaheim, who became advanced enough to be as advanced as the aesir and took on roles of being nature gods. The elves on alfheim, who do ..elf things and finally the dark elves/dwarves who live subterrainian life styles as craftsmen of all sorts, with working knowledges of all sorts of trades, including chemistry in order to create very advanced tools, trinkets, weapons, gear, architecture etc. The world tree being the milky way galaxy and the "well" at the center (called the well of urd) is literally a supermassive blackhole at the center of our galaxy. It's said, unless you are a god and you enter the well, you cannot exit from niflheim/helheim. Odin only is able to with his horse which "slips" between the space of ginungagap and can safely enter the well and exit by "slipping" through it. His "horse" creates wormholes. He uses wormholes to enter and exit the blackhole. Alot of it seems like nonsense until you interpret it through modern scientific knowledge. Then everything makes a hell of a lot more sense. The things that don't were shoe-horned in by christians. Like four dwarves at each corner of the earth to give us our directions of east, west, north and south. Why would dwarves be on midgard? They wouldn't! They'd be on svartalfheim. Plus the earth isn't flat. One shinong example of the gods explaining stuff in terms our ancestors understood is the birth of heimdall. Odin had one woman from every realm, all spill a bit of their blood into a "basin/bowl" as did he himself and he "cast charms" on the blood and it turned into a baby boy. It literally sounds like heimdall was trying to explain how he was a genetically engineered baby and have up and was like "fuck it, its blood magic".
@QockNobblr Жыл бұрын
@@YankeeDoodle2 Any pagan can debunk any preacher, and best of all; our religion doesn't conflict with science. The only parts that do, were shoe-horned in by christian monks in the 11th-13th centuries. Big bang, evolution, other planets with life, the galaxy, blackhole at the center of our galaxy; it's all in our sagas, just worded in ways my ancestors would've understood it. Whereas your sand god fanfic book says the earth is flat, has a dome and above that dome is a shit ton of water which is where rain comes from and outside that water is heaven itself. We've been to space, we've been to the moon. The earth isn't flat, there is no sky dome, "the firmament" as the bible calls it, and there is no shit ton of water outside our atmosphere. It also says we were created from literal dirt. "adammu" the hebrew word and original name of adam means "man of red earth/dirt". Saying we came from dirt and were made exactly as we are today with no changes whatsoever from then until now. Anthropological data throws that completely out the window. Hell past 80,000 years ago, we (or archaic homo sapiens rather) didn't have any neanderthal dna whatsoever, but most of us do today, with the only people not having it being sub-saharan africans. Our evolutionary history stretches back hundreds of millions of years. Back to the first single celled life forms, which formed from naturally occuring strands of RNA found in acidic pools of sludge, which eventually mutated into becoming self-replicating and then mutated again into dna, dna strands came together and boom first single celled life forms. Why the hell would you choose the words of power hungry middle eastern men who knew jackshit about the earth, evolution, the universe, etc; over the words of your own ancestors? Cuz lemme tell you, before 1,500 years ago, none of your european/asian/african ancestors would've believed in yahweh at all. It was only after european kings converted to christianity to control their masses that it was forced upon our ancestors. "burn at the stake or abandon your culture and your religion" Many converted out of fear, not of the sand god, but out of their kings. Many, many others were hunted down and killed like dogs. Religion of oppression, spread by middle eastern people. That really the belief system you wanna lay your faith with?

"Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children-as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let’s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.” 33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up. 34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Last night I slept with my father. Let’s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father.” 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up. 36 So both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab[a]; he is the father of the Moabites of today. 38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi[b]; he is the father of the Ammonites[c] of today." Believing the text it would seem they raped him. the bible is oddles of fun either way.

@jennyjen7000 yeah, it kinda does because he turned a woman into a pillar of salt just for lamenting the life she was losing. But you know, God's just fine with throwing your daughters to a rape gang or incestuously impregnating them. And making excuses for God severely punishing one person for an inconsequential act while celebrating something as unholy as incest kinda proves that even if Yaweh does exist it doesn't deserve our worship.

Years growing up watching all the people talk about how Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism , Catholic and on and on and on we go is the real answer, and that your parents just so happened to baptize you into the correct religion with the correct God.? Who has it right?... After reading the Old Testament, the new Testament, and a couple different versions of the bible, the Quran then realizing that all of these books use or are just an amalgam of older books and stories rewritten from Ancient Samaria. After reading it ALL, and asking critical questions, hard questions, and it boils down to this, I do not need or even WANT a hypocritical God, who will punish me for ALL of Eternity for Sins I have committed, Sins he planned for me to do, sins he himself has committed, Sins he himself invented...If i am ever face to face with a God, this will be my questions to him, how dare he a omnipotent, omnipresent, all powerful god whose plan MUST be acted out a God who let his own Devil tempt him (See Jobe) and looses his own endgame and own preaching when Lucifer convinces him to take all Jobe's blessings away and in doings so successfully tempted God to sin, the same sin he would burn me for eternity for. Lets not even get into the Rape, killing, homophobia, aspects of the religions. In closing, my goal isnt to disrespect you, believe whatever you like, but keep it appropriate, dont pretend to be American or love America while spewing that we MUST be a Christian nation, when we are a Secular Nation, A whole lot of you want to act like preaching and shoving your religion on others is the way to go, talkin about how you want to Save us. and when your OWN god tells you to be wary of false Prophits but then wants to burn anyone who questions him while saying the way to live is by a book that promotes Rape, slavery, homophobia, murder, torture, brainwashing, and on and on--quite simply I do not need that, or WANT that "God" to tell me i need to be better, or that I am unholy, dirty heathen, when I treat others better BY DEFAULT then your religion does. simply by not demonizing people who believe or live differently than I, but i somehow need this to be morale and not evil? no thank you.

The gospel says we're ALL sinners. IDK what religion or church you grew up in but in the Bible the gospel says we're sinners that fall short of God's law and that's why we desperately need a savior (Jesus Christ) that atones for our sins. Whatever church said you need to "feel guilty" is wrong. Salvation is an undeserved gift that we receive for our belief in Christ and anyone that tells you otherwise is preaching a different gospel. You can not work your way in to heaven by being a good person. Everyone makes mistakes and God knows this. You shouldn't let people's judgemental behavior and their misrepresentation of the scriptures ruin your personal relationship with God. Trust me, I grew up a Jehovah's witness and despised religion for decades. It wasn't until the last few years I discovered that JW is a false religion that misrepresented the Bible. I reconnected with God and since discovering what the gospel is ACTUALLY about my life and happiness has improved drastically. I pray you find God and don't let other people's judgemental and crappy behavior keep you away from Him.

@@jennyjen7000 thank you for you response, but then this also is another of the endless problems I have with God, Jesus, or whichever Deity you subscribe to. I could have given you more info or not but this still covers a great many sects of Christianity and other religions and you still dont know which i am referring, well just to answer Baptists what i was raised MOSTLY into, as moving around different churches /preaching styles. My problem with us "all being sinners that desperately NEED Christ" is that very premise, going to try not to branch off on too many issues for the sake of something more understandable...If God created us to be these sinners, knowing no matter how hard we may try, we will fail UNLESS we accepts some all omnipotent god an omnipotent god that DECIDED the world should just be this way? a god that BEWARES you of false prophets but gives you NO ACTUAL way to verify that even HE isnt false after of which lies to you showing his propensity for not telling truths., and depending on exactly what you believe god lies to Adam and eve about original sin. How is a preacher saying i need to FEAR god wrong? Fearing God and damnation is a core tenet of the bible. Why is salvation undeserved? because a supposed ALL powerful God created imperfect beings knowing everything they will ever do, with the ability to supposedly alter his plan accordingly? you cant have it both ways, either God lies about his power, his creator status, his ability to foresee his plan, what evil is among a litany of many other things, oh and you may commit ANY sin as MANY times as you wish and NOT burn for eternity so LONG AS you accept Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness, yet a GOOD man/woman that commits very few light sins and doest not accept God and they burn....what kind of relationship is this and how is this not seen as toxic. you can claim to have repaired all your relationship with God and claim mine was somehow incorrect or wrong in your opinion spite the fact im sure those preachers would claim the same but that you were the wrong one...again no way to verify the many false prophets we are to be warned of. no connection to this God unless you believe he ONLY shows himself to those who cross some arbitrary event while be ing a preacher or prophet....since yyou seem to know which is the TRUE religion? which has it right? and how did you ever come to this conclusion? (this isnt snide, but a true question) believe what you will, but if youre to preach this kind of message you need to explore all of these questions and many moral issues with God.

4:18 Thank you for showing how babies pop out when born. I'm going to let my MD friend know how it's done.

Most people back then lived and died within a ten-mile radius. Whatever happened past that radius was usually related to them by travelers over a campfire, like we tell spooky stories today. What was an uncontrolled fire, where the lesson should have been "Don't build things of wood, unless you control your cooking fires" became "God destroys the sinful and saves the good (unless they look over their shoulder)".
