Yup I know its mostly nostalgia talking but it's true..childhood really can be magical especially around Christmas. I remember my mom and her best friend taken me to see this movie on Thanksgiving 1990 and the theatre was packed and everyone was laughing and cheering throughout the movie. Afterward I went home and tried to build my own "Kevin Booby traps" of course they were terrible and didn't work but as a child I believed it was possible. Definitely miss the 90s, best times!

All the cast and crew members were awesome, but I really think two people stand above all others. And that's Chris Columbus, the director, and John Williams, the composer. These two are true legends and truly massively talented.... And they would go on to do Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone together, another masterpiece.

@guywiththebottle
@guywiththebottle 4 жыл бұрын
I was actually a little bit disturbed by that. Joe would have had to bite way too hard to even be able to create a scar. You would think that a grown man, particularly an actor that has to care about stunt safety, would be able to control his jaws enough not to tear the skin like that. Even if it was just for the response on the boys face. Joe should definitely have been severely reprimanded for that. Very unprofessional.

I would love it if Macaulay Culkin returned as Kevin McCallister in a new Home Alone movie. I know he said he wouldn't do it again, but I think Macaulay would do it again if the director made sure Kevin McCallister had a love interest as an adult.
@PrimeroJinJusuke
@PrimeroJinJusuke 3 жыл бұрын
If they do make a new Home Alone with Culkin, they should make something different with it. In the first two films, it was about him finding out (twice) that being alone wasn’t so fun. This time they should make Kevin trying to invite people (e.g. his family) to his home, but things don’t go so easy, but he keeps fighting for it anyway. Maybe have him invite Harry and Marv for Christmas who both rehabilitated from their time in prison. And instead of using booby traps to fight criminals, he could use his improvised gadgets and tools to help and save someone, like victims in a train trash or something.

I know Pesci had some roles like Raging Bull n Lethal Weapon 2 but he had Goodfellas and this film come out one month after each other. Talk about a good year lol.

I love this movie alot. Its allways fun to see "enemies" be nice when u watch clips like this. Actors can hate each other in the movie or series, but backstage they are often friends.

I will always be bias to some degree as I was kid when this first came out, but this really is a special special film, for so many reasons.it was a era. And I know I’m not the only one that misses it. Shout out to the 80’s/90’s crew 😂

I just now found out that the inside house scenes were filmed on a sound stage built in another building
@MrDanielNewton
@MrDanielNewton 4 жыл бұрын
Not all the inside scenes were done on stage. The basement, the stairs in the main entrance, kitchen, most of the second floor rooms and landing and attic were actually filmed inside the house.

When Daniel Stern says "That's when I think I copied a scream out from Psycho", that makes me realize two things. In the first Home Alone movie and in the second Home Alone movie when Marv screams a shrill voice, there's always an Alfred Hitchcock element taking place. First it's Psycho and then The Birds
