The first two just have a magic that about them. Can't really describe it... but it's a mixture of Christmas, fun and nostalgia. I haven't seen either for a couple of years and this video has got me excited. Great video as always Keith. A fun collectors edition. I think I might just hang it from my stairs if I had it 😊

Sometimes the best things in life can be described. But I think your spot on Darren there's a sense of magic and of course nostalgia. It takes me right back to my childhood which is a gift in itself. It’s not Christmas until you watch Home Alone. Everything in that movie was great starting with Macaulay Culkin who became an icon and was perfect for the role as well as the pair of robbers Joe Pesci and Daniel Sternes are phenomenal, making a very funny duo. The soundtrack is great and the vibe you get from watching this movie is just very positive, very Christmasy. By the way, nice edition you got there, you should put that Christmas ball on you tree. 😊

I honestly couldn't agree more with you Christmas does not start until you watch Home Alone and like I said in the video it's a Christmas classic in my eyes it will always be a Christmas classic and I love every single aspect of it and not only that I love how I feel when I'm watching it. It takes me right back to my childhood and that alone is a gift in itself. I never thought to put the Christmas ball onto my tree. I might do it this year. Couldn't even tell you how many times this was watched at my families house at Christmas over the years, even in the backroynd during card games ect. This and gremlins are definitely up there in the top 5 and playing the home alone videogame with my sister. I love these old editions they were so creative, we still laugh at marv especially just as much today with his screeches and delayed screams.

I don't think anybody has a single bad word to say against home Alone. You don't see movies like that anymore and like I said in the video I was always looking for an excuse to showcase this release. I think that's the biggest gift this movie gave us is the fact that children today feel the magic that we felt when we first saw them. What a gift that is. I honestly look forward to Christmas every year just so I can see both movies and I promise you they'll be watched numerous times over the month of December. Home alone is one of the all time christmas greats in movie history, Kieth, you said you didn`t know why you shed a tear, well, i think i know, Home Alone has lots of heart, the scene where "the old mand",in "the church"then john williams music, and oh my god these three things and iam crying my eyes out, i think you know what i am talking about . I guarantee you if Quentin Tarantino tried to put a bit of smoke around someone's head exploring it would still get an R rating. They seem to be very lenient with Spielberg at the time

I love this movie, I cant wait if and when we get the 4K part 2 in New York. So fun during the holidays. Just perfect! I'm right there with you. Leave it alone. No new ones, or remakes. That's my opinion, they are timeless. Thank you for the video.

I honestly tried looking at the other sequels after the Second and I couldn't make my way through them. I couldn't believe how bad they actually are particularly when you stack it up against the first two.

Great video Keith! LOVE Home Alone. By far my favorite Christmas movie. I totally agree with you that 1 & 2 were great but they went down hill after that... progressively worse. I would love to have that paint can edition and it looks like they are fairly affordable ($50usd) and readily available. Might have to pick that up since I have like 4 other blu ray editions, 3 DVD editions, and 2 4k including the steelbook. Might as well get that too lol What you were saying about the score and different actors and actresses contributions to this movie is SO TRUE. Unfortunately with not everyone present I dont think they could ever recreate the magic of this one. Specifically and especially without John Williams and John Hughes.

Hey Nate. Yeah it's one of those releases that seems to be going at a very decent price. I'm almost certain I paid 30 euro for mine. It's by no means a flashy release but like I said in the video it puts the biggest smile on my face. I think I said everything I needed to say when it comes to the movies themselves. Unfortunately I missed out on that Steelbook and it's such a shame because I am a big fan of the movie and any kind of collectible I would love to own. Yeah the napkins would have been a nice touch and it wouldn't have been hard to put them in this set.

You gotto checkout Macaulay Culkins recent star on the walk of fame presentation. He got pretty emotional, especially when his screen mum in the film spoke about him. Glad he kind of made it out of Hollywood in one piece.

There was a time when I was very worried 4 Macaulay Culkin. Around the time when drugs were ruining his life. I'm so happy he got through it all and I did see that Walk of Fame presentation and it was absolutely beautiful.

Great Video Keith i was on about getting this set years ago but sadly I never got a chance to get it anyway i don't mind Home Alone 3 but Home Alone 4 was ok but Home Alone 5 isn't great but Home Sweet Home Alone was ok

The one thing I will say when it comes to this edition it's still widely available particularly on eBay and it's not going for big money so I think it's always going to be there whenever you do decide if you want it for your collection. I tried watching the home alone movies after the second one and I could not get into them and I stayed clear of sweet home Alone because I thought the trailer looked absolutely terrible on it. The new Disney movie Home Sweet Home Alone is serviceable like the 3rd, but more disappointing for me because I actually had high expectations for it. The lead was absolutely fantastic in JoJo Rabbit, but they really dialed back his personality in Home Sweet and he was bland. The same could be said for the supporting cast as they assembled some great talent but totally wasted them. All hail Home Alone 1 and 2 once and forever THE Christmas home invasion movies :)

I have seen some bad trailers in my day but nothing near as bad as that one and I instantly knew that the magic that you get with the first two home alone movies was never going to be part of that sequel and for that reason alone I stayed clear of it.

That's the reason why the 4th film sucked having characters from the first 2 movies played by different actors it just doesn't work I only like the first 2 the 3rd one was watchable but the rest of them are just awful including whatever that crap on Disney Plus was meant to be
