I’d also love to see the sleeping spaces and day in the life. But I’d also love to see a video on the dirty little details of how you went about becoming a home daycare (your state laws, things you must have and any walk throughs/paperwork) and I’d love to hear about your plan for opening a center. I eventually want to start a home daycare myself and then eventually grow into a center. So all the detailed stuff is of interest to me. Things like “stuff I wish someone told me before opening a home daycare” is valuable information.

I have a home daycare and it has truly been a blessing to me. I got to stay home and raise and educate my three children and I had all seven of my grandchildren in my daycare as well. I still have two of them and it is such a joys to have them with me and I get to spend so much time with them.

I am 22 years old and am currently a student in college and the idea of opening my own daycare/home daycare is something that I am constantly thinking about. This idea is new to me so I have so many questions about how home daycares work. first of all: How much do you charge per child? Are you open on weekends? What hours of the day are you open? Do children need to arrive by a certain time?
@PilotMoochi35 жыл бұрын
Leslie Reyes best way to figure out how much you should charge is know what you will need and the prices of those items and estimate for each week/month, she made a video on budgeting, very interesting you should watch it.

Who cares if you buy second hand? What an odd comment for a person to make to you. As long as nothing has been recalled what does it matter? Save some money and put thugs to use so it doesn’t end up in the landfill. Stuff is expensive and you should be able to make a good deal!

i also have an at home daycare w my mom, which wasnt really a choice i got pregnant at 15 and my mom wanted to be w me for all of my doctor app and when the baby came. I had him at 16 and ive been watching kids for about 2 years now but our setup is not nearly as good we have like 14 kids bettween the 2 of us , i loved kids before i started this and now even when they are gone and my son is sleeping all i can hear is screaming and crying. But i get so attatched too that i feel empty when they arent here. How do you do it? How do you keep them from being naughty aka (hitting and biting others, throwing toys,not listening? How do you have the time to do all of this and not be tired?
@ashleynave5615 жыл бұрын
They need a calm down corner or a place for timeout when they're naughty. Kinda like the naughty spot light on Super Nanny. Set rules such as: 1. Use gentle hands. Hands are for helping others. 2. Feet are for walking. Not for kicking, and tripping others. 3. Hands are not for hitting, pinching, or scratching as extended rule for gentle hands. 3. If they are fighting over a toy because one child had it it first: * Are we being nice? * Are we caring? * Are you waiting your turn? * Is it okay to fight over a toy when someone is still playing with it? * You know children should wait for their turn when another is still playing with the toy. Never force the children to share, wait until they're finished playing with the toy. 4. Words are not for hurting. 5. Teeth is used for eating food, not biting others. 6. Sharing is caring. 7. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated by being kind, fair, and respectful. 8. Behavior and conduct should be addressed within proper manner. Inform young in simplicity as much as possible at the age level when teaching what is acceptable, and unacceptable. When breaking rules. Giving them a proper warning, and come to the child level to have eye contact. Explain them firmly that you do it again, you will lose a cookie or other smilie face or however you can use behavior management charts. Remember you put a sad face behind a smiley face. Each they lose a smiley face, time out can given. If it continues parental control. Kids hate going to time out or the naughty spot. They will ball and cry tears as if they were given a little spanking although CP is not child care.
@jessicademmon83845 жыл бұрын
@@ashleynave561 what is CP , and the kids i watch dont care about timeout. Thats the only thing we can do because according to the state law thing (idk what its called but they gave me a handbook) you cant tell them they cant have a certain snack because before id be like if your naughty no cupcakes or something and give them like pretzels
