Hello everyone! In today's video, we'll be thrifting aesthetic and affordable home and kitchen decor finds from Goodwill and other thrift/second-hand stores in my area. So many of you enjoyed my last thrift haul and were amazed by all of the minimalist and mid-century vintage thrift finds I sourced for my home. I wanted to take you along with me to see the types of home decor accents/accessories and home goods that I seek while shopping at my favorite thrift stores nearby.
This is a budget-friendly and affordable haul! The TOTAL for all the pieces that I'm showing in this video was $45 before tax which is incredibly inexpensive for these eclectic and aesthetic finds.
I upcycled one of the pieces by spray painting it to fit into my home decor aesthetic so be sure to keep an open mind while sourcing your own thrifted finds!

Great finds, good eye! I had purchased an elongated beautiful white marble piece at Target. I have no idea what its purpose is for but I use it on my stove as a spoon rest and also to put my eggs in so they don't roll away. It's not just the beautiful items that you find it's also how you display them in your place that makes it spectacular.

Beau Alexander you can pick my brain anytime! You have wonderful taste and I know people would love to buy your curated finds. I bet people that work at thrift stores have seen it all when it comes to thrifters getting excited about a $2 item. Sometimes I have to look around to see if anyone sees the gem I just picked up and put in my cart to resell for a profit. I’m screaming on the inside and smirking on the outside. 😉 not everyone knows the value of certain items so I use that to my advantage at the thrift stores. Hello Beau, I'm so happy I discovered your channel. Compliments on all the beautiful pieces you chose. Love the way you styled each piece. They are ALL my favorite. 😉 I especially enjoyed the storey about the boat, and can imagine the people at the stores faces! 😁 I live in Germany now, and have some places I thrift at. For about 20 to 30 Euros I come home with bags and sometimes boxes full of things that make my heart burst full of joy. With patience I eventually find an item I need which is practical like a hand held mixer, or a bread bin. Or beautiful pieces like crystal. It could be clothes, leather handbags and shoes. Like you say, it takes patience and a keen eye. Everyone benefits. The person decluttering. The shop. The person re-purposing a great find at an affordable price. Win, win, win! My favorite had to be the long glass pitcher, although that Mikasa bowl makes me feel nostalgic. My husband and I were gifted a similar Mikasa bowl by my boss many years ago. We were recently married and our one bedroom apartment was furnished with pieces given to us by relatives. Our dining room table was a card playing table with folding chairs. Our mattresses were just on rails, and our sofa was an old pull out couch. My husband had helped his coworker move and scored his old coffee table. That's it. We didn't have any other furniture. So needless to say, that Mikasa bowl on our coffee table was the fanciest newest thing in our apartment.

I was imagining your space just as you’d described it with a glimmering Mikasa bowl like mine in the center of your coffee table. I hope that trip down memory lane brought a smile to your face! The pitcher (from what another follower shared with me) may be Mikasa too, vintage from the 80’s though I couldn’t find a makers mark for the life of me to confirm. Either way for $1.75 I’m not complaining 😆

So many are quick to boast about their expensive finds from luxury big box stores and more power to them - I too, love to source inspiration from retailers like that! But I also like to shop thrift stores as most of the items offered aren’t so easily found, they’re unique, and I feel like I’m scoring one-of-a-kind pieces that work within my decor aesthetic for incredibly inexpensive prices. Awesome thrift haul!!!! You have the thrift bug!!! I truly enjoy your "excitement" of your thrift haul!!! People don't understand the "thrill" of finding "designer" items at a thrift store prices!!!! Most of the items in my house are thrifted or second hand from "affluent neighborhoods". The saving is crazy!!!! I can't bear myself going to "regular" store paying "regular prices" unless they are on clearance.

That’s the beautiful part about creating your own style and I am here for it 100% 🙌🏼 totally with you on not spending outrageous amounts on any one piece when I can get dozens for less than $50 second-hand!

Hi, you found some great pieces. Every time I watch one of your videos, I see a portion of that larger mirror to your left (from your prospective, it's to the right), that you painted in black matte. I cannot believe how much changing the color of the frame really elevated it and made this piece so beautiful. Hi Jenni! 🙋🏻‍♂️Thank you so much for the compliment. It’s actually quite a story - I saw that same style mirror from another seller weeks prior in an area much further away and it was selling for $300. I wanted it so badly but I just didn’t want to spend that much on it. The kicker is that they had it in displayed in white so I really took note of the ornate detail. Well fast forward a few weeks and I saw the listing from the seller I purchased it from, they had hand painted it a very unusual green/pale pink and it was only $50...but I saw past that paint color and realized it was the SAME mirror as the one I’d seen prior so I had to scoop it up this time around. A $3.98 can of spray paint and it has a whole new lease on life!

Also, you’re right - I told my Mom about the clock and she said the same! It’s the worst feeling 😭 I’ve been there a handful of times and when the prices are reasonable, I’ve told myself I need to just take it. If I don’t like it, I can always donate it back. I really believe that there is an energy we transfer to pieces we’re on the fence about because like you, every time I’ve gone back, even minutes later...they’re usually gone!
