Filling a air cavity with foam only helps if the air cavity floods by taking up the space the water has to fill. If it remains airtight, the air will provide more buoyancy/floatation than any foam. I'm surprised none of you bought foam board insulation, cut it into shapes and glued it together like a human 3D printer. You could make the hull for like $50, under $100 if you wanna be fancy, and you could spend the rest of the money on a cheap battery drill and batteries for a Home Depot-rigged trolling motor!

this is exactly what i was thinking .Just strap some foam board, strap it together, some pins through it maybe, coald even glue it if that glue sets in the 60 min they had. And then you could even put up some sides as wel. And with the remaining 350 you buy yourself a pretty nice cordless drill to build that trolling motor. I was actually thinking ayo was going that way when i saw him walk past the milwaukee stuff.

Hey ayo at 14:03 there's some orange water coolers in the background. In my experience those are water tight and float quite well. You could have used those as pontoons. Great video! For future reference, air is more buoyant than any foam. Putting foam in the space lowers buoyancy. That store had stacks of pink or blue foam insulation boards. Just glue about 6 together and cut out your boat. Use saw to cut it into a recognizable canoe/boat shape. Lol wish I was in the challenge!😅😅

Let's be real, Ayo definitely won the best boat challenge. His boat actually floats, it could easily have a foot controlled trolly added, and you can reasonably add a pedestal seat to it. Just replace the screws with bolts that are flat, and fill the containers full of empty, sealed 2L bottles. thing would last for years in a country pond.

Gotta shout out the Home Depot employees for doing their jobs in a genuinely courteous way. Most employees and/or managers I’ve seen shutting down a video are incredibly rude, aggressive, and abrasive. But those two folks at the beginning of the video were legitimately just doing their jobs with kindness and understanding. Also helps that Ayo and his gang are all respectful and respectable people. Says a lot when stuff like that is what restores bits of my hope for humanity lol but it just goes to show how far just a little bit of mutual respect and kindness can go.
