Rob's whistling is wondrous! The story behind this song is hilarious: Something like a decade ago Tim's employer told him to write a country song but he didn't want to. So he came up with the "worst" (his words) country song he could think of--and to this day it is one of his most popular originals 😆

Yes, that was Avi. The gents had just filmed the video Ring of Fire featuring Avi so he decided to photobomb Champagne Taste. If you watch Tim’s face when Avi walks past, you can see Tim was surprised when Avi walked by.

Rob is champion whistler-there’s a video of him helping out another group with Rockin’ Robin. Trivia: According to Tim, he’s never learned to whistle.

According to Tim, when was working as a songwriter in California, his boss told him he needed to do a country album. Tim resisted, as he didn't think he liked country. But his boss insisted. So Tim went home, got incredibly drunk and wrote the most country song he could come up with...Champagne Taste was born. Lol

I think that WAS Jenika in the video, actually. It was posted in 2014, and Tim and Jenika were married in 2016. They had been dating for quite some time. You can see photos of her in the very special video they made when they got engaged and they told "the world." The video is "Die a Happy Man." Really fun reaction, you two, and nice to meet you, Jillian! 😀

The hand putting the glass of champagne on the table is Avi’s and if you look in the back of the last shot you can see him sitting on the bull. Avi was still in town after they recorded Ring of Fire and was encouraged to photo bomb the video. Tim wrote this song a long time ago when his boss told him to write a country song and he didn’t want to so he got drunk and wrote it.

No, not Tim’s wife. A good song to see his wife Jenika is to watch Die a Happy Man. It’s about their engagement. That was Avi showing up. Home Free had just done Ring of Fire with Avi and he hung around while they filmed this song. Funny story: Tim’s boss in LA wanted Tim to write a country song and he didn’t want to but the boss insisted, so Tim went home, got drunk and penned this song. Hahaha. He never thought it would make any money. I loved the lyrics “I won’t see her pretty face at all since the prison’s no where near the mall”. Hahaha. Nice to see you and the Ninja. 😄😍

Tim Foust wrote the song before he joined Home Free. He was asked to write a country song, and he was trying to get out of country, so he wrote something that he hoped would be so bad that they would quit bugging him about writing country songs. As you can see, it backfired!

According to an interview I listened to with Tim (I think on the Charismatic Voice channel), Tim had a job songwriting. His employer was pushing him to write country songs, which he did not want to do. He finally relented writing the most stereotypical country song he could imagine. To his dismay, his employer loved it, and here it is today.
