The story goes that when Tim was living in California, he was working at a music company writing music. His boss thought he had the vocal chops and the talent to do an entire country album and pushed him to do it. Tim was resistant, not wanting to do country and trying to deny that he actually liked country music and had a good voice for it. So finally, he went home, got incredibly drunk and wrote this little tongue in cheek song. He called it the most country of country songs. LOL From that point on, Tim decided to get out of his own way as he puts it and decided to go with it, sing country and later on, go back to acapella. He says life has been alot of getting out of his own way and when he has, tings have come out pretty good for him.

Home Free has so many great originals! Their last album has 12 original songs. A few of those have videos-So Long Dixie, Understand, Save the World, Giving Up on You. You should check out some more of their originals. Dive Bar Saints plus several others from a previous album would make good choices as well.

Avi was with them that day, to do “Ring of Fire “. Now you saw an original funny song, for a little more melodic, check out one of their newest originals, “So long Dixie”. Thay depart a little from pure a Coppola in this , bye bringing in a guitarist, but it fits perfectly with the message of the song.

Too funny. Well Tim was living in LA at the time he wrote this. His boss wanted him to write a country song and he didn’t want to but the boss insisted so he got drunk and wrote this in one night. I’m sure he was well aware of Jimmy Choo while living in LA. Ha! Tim and Austin write most of the songs for Home Free. Try some newer ones…So Long Dixie, Save the World, Giving Up on You. A couple of them do have instruments in them but they’re so good or try Dive Bar Saints.

How can you not smile when watching that? What a fun video! This is an original song that Tim wrote. These guys know how to have fun without compromising their vocals. Rob is great with his whistling & love Adam's vocal percussion. Fun seeing Avi Kaplan doing a cameo in this.

Watch for Avi Kaplan's cameos - he was still around after singing "Ring of Fire". His is the hand that puts a champagne glass on a table in the bar, then he passes in front of them & finally, he's sitting on the bull in the background. I love that rather than competing, the acapella bands co-operate with each other. 3 of the men in Home Free are song writers (Tim, Austin & Chance) so there are lots of originals as well as covers.

couple of things about this video Avi appears in it because it was shot same day as Ring of Fire second the overalls Tim is wearing appear again in the Butts Remix on Beug they are cut down but they are the same pair he could not close the second strap so just let it hang as he is much larger than Tim LOL

Be careful. Another reactor I follow got a you tube strike for copyright. She posted the letter explaining that Home Free contacted them about the violation. Seems Home Free has a company now that does this for them. Hope you don’t get the same thing for this reaction.
