Although this is not one of my favorites, I definitely appreciate the talent it takes to cover this song. From what I’ve read, Austin sang this in the same key as Patsy Cline. Thanks Jeremy and Jillian!

Such a beautiful cover of this classic song. I listened to Patsy Cline growing up. Loved her voice & the emotion she conveyed in her songs. I think Home Free nailed it & did a beautiful tribute to her. Austin sang it in the same key as Patsy. Love Adam's tasteful light percussion & brush stroke sounds.

This is a great cover of Patsy Cline's song. I played this for an Uber driver once because the music on his radio suggested that he enjoyed this type of music. He told me afterwards that his mother is related to Patsy Cline. I did NOT expect to hear that. Between this one, Country Fried Pop, and End of the Road, you have a good idea of the range of genres they cover. Then there is Rob and Austin's OPERA aria. O! M! G!

So, with Jeremy focusing on the drums (I understood everything he said, in 1971-1973 I was the only girl snare drummer in the marching band although tympani’s were my specialty), and Ninja covering the vocals you have everything covered. But you do realize that means you need to react to all Home Free videos together so you don’t miss anything 😀. That would be pretty awesome! Thanks for another fun reaction! ❤

I played percussion too altho there were 4 of us females. Snare was my least favorite, but tympani was SO much fun. ❤

This was written by Willie Nelson and originally recorded by the late Patsy Cline in 1961. Austin sings it in the same key as Patsy Cline (he also sings Etta Place's "At Last" in her key - it's on his channel). Of course the harmonies & beatboxing are perfect - it's Home Free, they always are.

I was fascinated by the brush on the snare sound from Adam, I mean I've never heard anyone do it so accurately and there was one song on the Sing-Off show that they did with the judge Jewel and that was the first time I had heard it and I'm sure the judges were impressed by that then too.

If you do listen to this again, please listen to how amazing Austin is in this. As someone already said, he did it in the same key as Patsy Cline! On Austin's KZbin page, you can find him singing "At Last" by Etta James, and he also sings it in the same key. I love it when Ninja joins you, she provides a different perspective than you which is great because as you know, music hits everyone differently.

They did this in a 50's doo-wop singing group style, at least the backup vocals. Back then before heavy rock the drums were used differently and were perhaps more influenced by jazz drumming styles. At least that's how it sounds to me. Kudos to Adam Rupp for pulling off that sound so well.

I just got a chance to listen to your reaction today. Told you, Ninja! You were already in the right key before it even started. That's what we call relative pitch. Anyway, Rupp really shines in this one for me. Who even "beatboxes" drum brushes like that? He really is a musician's musician. Thanks, Nancy, for requesting this one. I always forget about it. And the jazz chords, love it.

OMG, you must go back and listen to Patsy Cline's version. She died way too young (in a plane crash) at 30 years old. One of the most distinctive voices I've ever heard. Willie Nelson wrote this song when he was a starving artist and sold this song and another one the same week. Patsy made it an instant classic. The guys honored the original which had a beautiful spare opening and accompaniment, and Austin sang it in the same key that Patsy did... very difficult for a male voice! I loved the way they treated the song, and you're right, both versions are way too short for something so poignant and beautiful. I hadn't heard Patsy's version in decades, and came back to it on KZbin one day... it must have been my mood that day because I was instant waterworks! That's the measure of talent, when an artist can make you feel the song.

The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. I have not found a genre they are afraid to tackle whether individually or as a group they are amazing. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned. ❣

Patsy Cline made this song famous without any auto tune and minimal background music. A brush has a pull at the end of it to control how wide spread you want the brush. Patsy died in an airplane crash after doing a benefit for war bonds. So many musicians, Big Bopper, Stevie Ray, Buddy Holly, part of Lynyrd Skinner musicians. I know there are more I just can't think of them right now. I think I would be taking a train
